The Purist's guide to Noise

Let me tell you a story; once upon a time there was a man who acquired the core Netrunner box on the behest of his good friend. He was immediately enamored by its wonders, and fell upon it with gusto. Above all else, this man enjoyed the conception of decks, and their construction. So when he looked upon Noise: Hacker Extraordinaire, he knew that he had to build a deck of pure viruses; virus tempo and virus economy and virus draw, everything virus! But alas, the core set did not have nearly enough viruses to fulfill that dream, so he was disappointed for a while.

Then he discovered NetrunnerDB, a website that allowed him to build decks without every cycle and expansion pack, and he (and his wallet) rejoiced. But ah! Irony! For when he saw the list of virus and virus related cards, he balked at the sheer number that existed. "How can I make a deck of every virus; it would be bloated and unusable!" and he despaired, and was disappointed again.

But one day, while combing over recently bought decks, his eyes fell upon Darwin, and a seedling of an idea formed in his mind. "What if" he pondered, "a deck with only one ICE breaker could be made?" Much room would be made, much room for viruses that is. "But no, I would still need economy to even think of making that dream work" he moaned, even as his hands, almost on their own accord, drew a card from another set.

It was Cache, and the seedling took root in his imagination. "Why, with this econ card, I would need no other! I could utilize all the virus propagation cards for both Darwin AND Cache, hurrah!" But still, a deck of viruses do not, a rig of viruses make, and his eyes fell once more.

Before lighting up a moment of pure epiphany. "Eureka" he cheered "Djinn would make it possible. I have it, I have my deck" and with that, he spent the whole night and early morning creating this deck, till, at the crack of dawn, he slumped, exhausted, but finally satisfied, a deck flashing on screen, his virus deck.

It was still bloated, and needed more consideration (Gorman Drip v1 for more econ, e3 Feedback Implants for better runs) and even in it's final state, it lacked many viruses he dearly wanted to have (Imp and Nerve Agent and Hemorrhage), but in the end, his dream was made reality.

(This story is a romanticized version of the real events that led up to this deck. I hope you enjoyed both it and the idea of the deck. I don't care much for meta or competitive viability, only decks that are fun to play and hilarious to witness. Despite that, comments, thoughts, critics and rants are most welcome. Happy runnings).
