Do you even Faust bro?

alt text

If you can't be a part of the solution, you can certainly be a part of the problem.

Thank you @x3r0h0ur for giving me the base for this deck!

This deck is all about leveraging Adam's early pressure into a stable and devastating late game rig.

How do you do that? by creating a Frankenstein using Adam's standard rig and Faust.

Faust, ABR and e3 is monstrous, especially when paired with Hunting Grounds. Also, with drug dealer you are usually too poor to trash things on your mandatory run.

Key Cards:

Infiltration: Keeps you from running into traps or wasting runs and resources.

Dirty Laundry: get your money down before running to prevent forced trashing, pressure the corp into rezzing ice that you can just break for clicks.

Dr Lovegood: turn off ABR in the mid game to help with important turn set ups. late game/early game turn off drug dealer on your turn to save money.

Hunting Grounds: Turn off komainu, tollbooth, grail and raven which are all strong ice that punish Adam for using ABR.

Ghost Runner/refractor: One of Adam's biggest weaknesses is Turing. Refractor and ghost runner really helps you deal with Turing.

Mongoose: Flexible and cheap for a lot of the sentries that are awful for Faust.

Corroder: Deals with Spiderweb and Hive better than Faust when you have lots of money.

e3: Makes Faust better, increases the early pressure of ABR. Makes the Weyland matchup playable.

Drug Dealer: Keep your money low for your forced run first click while getting the cards you need to feed Faust and set up your rig.

One of the key decisions in this deck is when to use money and when to use cards to break, you need to read the board state and maintain enough of whatever resource you need to threaten the remote. Also, since they have to bookkeep both your normal breakers, abr, faust and e3 you can often snatch agendas when they don't account for all the ways you can wiggle your way into the server.

Don't be afraid of braincage you can afford to lose a lot of the cards in this deck, just be judicious.

The question is though: will you will me up, and suggest that we have a party?

What's your take on Brain Cage versus Public Sympathy? I tend to err on the side of Sympathy, since I don't want to lose any critical cards like e3, Brain Chip or god forbid Faust.

@pang4 it's cheaper and helps me set up faster since I am not running career fair

Drug dealer seems like it steals a bunch of the credits you'd need to activate your non-faust breakers. On that note, why no Multithreader? Seems like with brain chip, you'd be able to afford the memory.

8 Mar 2016 CodeMarvelous

@bracketbot I never install more than 2 drug dealers and I always lovegood one of them so it isnt too bad. Multithreader is an idea but I have no free influence.

I don't want to sound like Captain Obvious here, but you're Adam. You don't need to spend influence to play Multithreader...

@CodeMarvelous Influence? It's in faction...

IMO, there is really no reason why you should be running brain cage over public sympathy. 1 credit is nothing compared to 1 brain damage.

8 Mar 2016 x3r0h0ur

Its not really a brain damage, you get +2 hand size from both.

9 Mar 2016 CodeMarvelous

I meant to say Slots not influence

@x3r0h0ur I think it's whatever card you lose to the damage needs to be timed compared to just dropping a sympathy.

My current Adam deck is running only 1 Faust and Gordian Blade as it's Turning solution, and every time Faust hits the table it starts just doing work. Independent Thinking into a big run has been a thing I've done often enough it's pretty common. But plan seems the same, use ABR to cover missing breakers and your inevitable hand size to leverage Faust.

9 Mar 2016 x3r0h0ur

NO card is so crucial that you should worry about it, unless you just install it first...

One issue I have with the deck is Ghost Runner - If you have it installed, you are forced to use those credits for Adam's trash, if you're broke. How often did you run into that problem?

10 Mar 2016 Myriad

If you are concerned about having to use it to trash, blank the directive!

10 Mar 2016 Bigguyforyou518

Excellent art.

Since you run so lean on s, do you ever run into problems with must-trash upgrades like Ash 2X3ZB9CY or SanSan City Grid that you can access but can't afford to trash?

Couple Scrubbers might do the trick.

10 Mar 2016 AsteriskCGY

Well Scrubbers' problem is just the cost setting it up, which Adam doesn't quite have the a lot of set up time available.

13 Mar 2016 mzob

@AsteriskCGY brain cage is better because its a hardware and cannot be trashed one brain damage is almost never a problem just dont install it before anything vital

@bracketbot im testing multithreader variant of this deck right now and can say that for 10 games i only installed it once it takes a slot and doesnt bring much value

14 Mar 2016 ClubbingSealCub

How do you find the Levy in this deck? Because it seems you'd be able to win without ever needing to use it, and I can think of a few ways to better spend influence with Adam.

6 Apr 2016 BoomFrog

With three Dr. Lovegood, did you consider using The Source to help your FA matchup?

3 Jun 2016 x3r0h0ur

I think we should include Brah-Man for maximum theme.
