PsiSquid v2.0

SlySquid 4763

Its back baby! I changed out the Yagura for Lockdown which is just a monster in a deck like this, and the pups for Cortex Locks to gain some early aggression...

This deck focuses on leveraging the Psi game so much that it overwhelms the runner into making a few mistakes, and after one of the you can norm get a kill...

Its all bluff all the time, Mushin all the things, shell corp on an advanced card behind a lockdown for huge bank, and score False leads early and often...

This is a great deck to play if you want to counter the meta that is saturated with glacier and decks kit to beat those decks, the runners money and rig are not reverential 90% of the time... The main commodities this deck deals in is patience and luck.

Interesting. How do you feel the ICE count? No ETR, just some very situational damage. Lockdown is great, definitely, but is it good on it's own?

You are right @Dydra, but that's how it's meant to be, everything in the deck is in there to let the runner second guess if he should be aggressive...

You really need to be bold and condition the runner that if they don't check your remotes you will score out and win, you need and that's where your future perficts shine so hard with Mushining, because after you get to 4 points all your double and triple advanced cards need to be ran...

Lockdown is like an ETR in the sense that its it's the biggest mind fuck after they hit it, they are already second guessing themselves about running a remote, but after hitting that they get into panic mode and more often than not they just Jack out...

It's not an easy deck to play by any means, you know that though cause you play Jinteki like I do, but I feel we need to have decks like this around to shake the meta up, I'm my opinion even tear 2 decks like this can crush in competitive play if pioleted corectly because no one has etched against them... If that makes sence...

An interesting deck. I know Lockdown is powerful with Neural EMPs included, but how do you feel about Clairvoyant Monitor? On the one hand, your advanced assets get more dangerous, on the other hand, you only have 4 assets that benefit from advancing. (And also agendas.)

I don't understand why you would need Jackson Howard in this style of deck. I'd rather run Ghost Branch to help turn on scorched earth more. Also, I'm confused why run this build in Nisei, and not PE. I feel the best why leverage Nisei's ability is to be able to use the ability every turn. With only 13 PSI cards in the deck...this looks very similar to your earlier PE builds.

@hatman i tried CMs but they are way to expencive for what they do... also with net ready eyes yog is making a huge comeback...

@rahmal great points, but jack helps me hold on when a game goes longer and helps against keyhole, and Nisei is far better at the psi games than any corp... when i play this deck i have far more control over the psi game... but maybe its just me, you can try it as PE and let me know how it fairs

@SlySquid , I agree with you brother. Maybe something to ponder upon is throwing some other asset that leverages the advances on it? What I mean is, if the runner decides to sit-down on his ass and buckle up the safety belt by hording money and vamping you ( or whatever else safe play he thinks to do). What i mean is a Reversed Accounts , or GRNDL Refinery .... something in their likes. Ronin is good, but might throw 1 or 2 different, for flexibility. What do you think?

Very true @Dydra, my concern with that though is that it's getting so fucking hard to flatline people nowadays... So I'd be super concerned that without all my flatline tech that I won't be able to pull it off...

I will say that it can score out fast under the right conditions thanks to mushin and TFP, and if I feel a vamp play is going to happen I could catch them off guard and faulse lead them away from seeing my cards till I have time to bank up...

I will say that I have a lot of secsess with this deck in the past, it won me the store champs that I took my MaxX deck to only losing one game... it stomps on some very core builds like andy and kate (without vamp) but the most important thing is I want to be a rift in the meta at my local tournaments and I love to be differant...

But I will try a few of your ideas man, I'd love for you to try it out and let me know how it plays for you...

As a NISEI advocate with a completely different build... I approve of this tech! I love your creativity with the Lockdowns and Shell Corp and Kitsune. I wish we had played at Black Knight but I know you were tired of running that NISEI deck, hahaha.

Thanks Tang (@MapleHutt), I wish I had the energy to have been able to play you but playing that Leela deck took everything out of me lol

Next time!

nice deck, I had fun playing against it. I'd say you can remove one jackson howard to add just one Closed account, to punish siphon/vamps and make cerebral cast more fun if the runner has carapaces installed :) See you around !

Thanks @reyda, it was fun gaming with you!

That may be an even better idea when that ellel suppression card comes out...

Fuck I can't wait to test that card!
