Kit is a lot of fun, as her ID enables aggressive Shaper play. Once your Decoder is online—with 3x copies, as early as your opening hand—you can run any server protected by a single layer of ICE.
While Kit only has 10 influence to spare (instead of the usual 15), she has enough access to in-faction economy, card draw and multi-access tools to overcome this limitation...
Economy
- 3x Sure Gamble – staple burst economy
- 3x Creative Commission – Sure Gamble 4/5/6
- 3x Dirty Laundry – run-based economy
- 3x Overclock – when running servers with multiple layers of ICE
- 3x Telework Contract – slow economy to sustain the mid-game
- 1x Aesop’s Pawnshop – monetize Trojans, Hardware or Resources that are no longer useful
Card draw
- 3x Diesel – to draw into your icebreakers (or more economy)
- 3x Test Run – more expensive to tutor Programs than Mutual Favor, but is in-faction; can also retrieve from the Heap
- 2x Verbal Plasticity – normally Earthrise Hotel is the better option, but Kit's ID + Gordian Blade is all you need to start running; also cheaper to install, and can be monetized via Aesop’s
Multi-access
- 3x The Maker’s Eye – great for stealing Agendas in R&D (especially when the density is high)
- 3x Jailbreak – card draw + multi-access at zero cost
- 1x Docklands Pass – enables HQ multi-access
Programs
- Our icebreaker suite (3x Gordian Blade, 1x Corroder, 1x Echelon) is designed around Kit's ID
- Gordian Blade is expensive, but retains strength throughout the run; synergizes with a well-placed Egret
- Botulus is helpful (particularly on ICE with fewer subroutines) when you don't have all breakers yet
- If you run into a Snare!, Test Run will get your Program back
Warning: Weyland Consortium: Built to Last has strong economy and flatline options, and a "glacier" strategy (e.g. remote server with Palisade, triple-advanced Pharos, plus a Magnet on top) will severely strain your economy if the game drags on too long. So, be as aggressive as you can when playing Kit against the matched Weyland deck!
