Some thoughts

This is my first district tournament since I started playing Netrunner for half a year. Unlike other players who are mature and sophisticated, my playing style and understanding of cards are a bit immature. However, the Wuhan district tournament‘s experience is pleasant. Communicating and learning with players from all over China has greatly deepened my understanding of the deck, my admiration for the Chinese Netrunner community, and my love for this game.

Origin of the deck

I borrowed this deck from Toron's Step 1: Score a 5/3 (16th @ CBI). Since new players like me lack two cycles of cards from the FFG era, the organizer adopted a special NSG-only standard format for this event with the 24.12 banlist. Therefore, I removed Ikawah Project, Giordano Memorial Field, Gatekeeper, and Next diamond from the original deck.

For the composition of the agenda, I have tried different constructions of 49 and 44 cards. In the end, I chose the latter to speed up the efficiency of card drawing and determined 9 agendas as the core of the deck.

During the offline test, ice's choice changed the most. Thanks to the advice of infistlee (2ND@Wuhan district), I removed M.I.C. and Brân 1.0, and chose Enigma and Hagen as replacements, as well as a critical countermeasure card, Border Control. In this way, the basic construction of this deck was formed.

My understanding of the deck (Criticism and correction are welcome)

The core idea of ​​this deck is to deal 2 core damage, so as to ensure that ontological dependence can score within one round. Therefore, whether the first Salvo Testing can score determines the direction of most games. Of course, the role of Djupstad Grid cannot be ignored. In the absence of Salvo Testing, the combination of Djupstad Grid + Élivágar Bifurcation can also create a chance of 2 core damage. without a doubt,you need to protect your Djupstad Grid. Ydl is a key economic card in this deck. In many cases, it is normal to end the round with 2-3 credits. With Spin Doctor and RLC, you can recover the economy as soon as possible. RLC is also very important. It can prevent the runner from controlling your R&D by drawing cards and gaining clicks, and at the same time ensure that your plan for the score agenda is implemented. Nightmare Archive is the only choice to delay the opponent's scoring rhythm. In short, everything revolves around 2 core damage.

-1 border control, +1 tatu-bola +1 YDL, can be used when you feel that the economy is not running enough.

-1 enigma, +1 Brân 1.0/ Ablative Barrier/ Jaguarundi, the choice of ice is more flexible. Since my play style is fast, I did not choose some big ice to prevent runner pass, but it may not be bad to bring it.

-1 seamless launch, +1 big deal, in some cases, when the economy is too sufficient but there is a lack of ice, 1 big deal may turn the situation around.
