Hello, all!

This is a deck made for the Neo format. It's a community run format that can be succinctly described as "all the Startups with a banlist". So it's ashes, sg, su, borealis. And the banlist is endurance, rezeki, k2cp, and cyberdex.

This list is a big old gamenet list that builds incredibly large servers that tax the runner hard. It tries to put strong econ or agendas behind a ton of ice and either the runner runs and you get rich or the runner doesn't run and guess what, you get rich.

Gamenet is pretty busted, simply put. For some reason they printed it with "whenever" and that makes it hilariously rich and taxing with ice like goldfarmer, mestnichestvo, and tollbooth. The runner simply can't afford to run constantly and so have to pick their battles well. And with the defensive upgrades you can open up scoring windows fairly frequently.

The ice suite is not perfect, it might want to run cards like enigma and afshar instead of tsarevna. But this is an exercise left to the reader.

I hope people enjoy this format the way I have, we got together as a community to make it happen out of love for Startup and NSG.

Gamenet is pretty busted, simply put.

At the time that it was printed, Rezeki was a card, in the face of which Gamenet is fairly weak.

I think if you should consider banning Gamenet in your format if you want it to be balanced, and you want to ban Rezeki.

Cards like NAPD cordon, which rotated with Parhelion, and balanced with the idea that runners have Rezeki, will also be pretty busted in your format.

@Satoshi You're right, just banning rezeki in ashes startup would have pretty dire consequences. But now with borealis out the runners have far more tools in the form of light the fire, pinhole threading, and cezve to keep those runs going. And the runners still have access to incredible economy with the likes of bravado and fermenter still being around, fermenter being made significantly more powerful with cyberdex being gone.

I think another major problem with the format is that, you did not ban Nanisivik Grid, but by including all of Ashes, you now have Kakurenbo in the pool, as well as Archived Memories. I think there is probably a completely busted deck that installs Nani grid and Void over centrals and a single remote, and even if with great difficulty the runner manages to trash Nani over archives, you can archived memories to reinstall the grid, and play Kakurenbo to flip all the ice face down again.
