Spider Bird

After playing one of Sokka's A Teia lists in the UK Nats team event in 2023 (and having a blast) I wanted to play around with the ID a bit and see what I could create. Off-turn installs are very powerful with the ID ability, so I was trawling through the card pool to see what was available. Amongst the rough, there was a glittering (and very fun) diamond: Tucana!

The little bird that could, Tucana is fantastic in A Teia. Firstly, it can help to shore up one of the common weak points of A Teia - namely that your centrals tend to be extremely weak - by going to fetch Ice that can reasonably defend them on the cheap. There are some additional - though unreliable - kill strategies that can be done with Tucana. To explain, you allow a runner to steal an agenda from your remote (Fuji ideally) and then go fetch something to install with Tucana. If they are low enough on cards, that will be Anemone which you can instantly rez and do 2 net damage. If not, you could install any other ice on your other server and then install a Snare into your scoring remote that the runner has to access with the A Teia ability.

The other more useful thing Tucana provides is the ability to chain score agendas in your scoring remote. This can enable a more rush-based strategy that I haven't really lent into hard enough here - room for future improvement.

Most of the other cards in the list are fairly self-explanatory, but I will shout out Rime as a good card in the current meta - especially combined with Thimblerig and Tatu-Bola for messing with maths for getting past your more chunky Ice.
