Reconstruction Gagarin v1

dbAdmin 47

I wanted to build a deck that used some of the new assets, and I landed on Reconstruction Contract. I just keep winning with this build so I have to share. For reference, whenever I build my own deck and I feel like it's good, I usually get around a 40% win rate in casual. If it's a netdeck, I usually can get about a 60% win rate. This deck has a 90% win rate for me.

The alpha combo is to defend a Reconstruction Contract, rez it, and use Dedication Ceremony to fast advance an agenda from hand. The basic trick is to Dedication once, install Corporate Sales Team from hand, advance, pop Dedication. The second trick is to Dedication twice, install a 5/3 from hand and score it.

The other side-trip of the deck is to defend a Dedicated Response Team and have the heavy tag themes of the deck tax the runner out of making any runs. Usually I build a second remote to lightly defend Dedicated Response Team and people don't usually think (at first) that they need to trash it. The cute interaction is to have a Reconstruction Contract on the table when Dedicated Response Team fires. That was my original dream of this combination, but it rarely happens (though I have done it). Just getting one or two counters on a Dedicated Response team can sometimes be enough to open a fast-advance or never-advance window. Plus if they go trash it for "5" you might just open another.

All the ice has tags on it; that's one of the areas of the deck I need to explore further because I'm sure there is a more defensive ICE suite that could be had here. This version is all-in on tagging. IP Block on its own is usually good, but putting Data Raven, Colossus, or Mausolus in front of it always makes the runner have to use breakers to get in. KP Lynn is like having an extra 3 disposable Data Ravens in the deck, and it combos with Dedicated Response Team. Prisec can sometimes mean flatline if Dedicated Response Team is alive, because no one expects to hit 3 meat on an upgrade. Scoring The Cleaners at all can be deadly. Scoring Graft usually means I will fetch Reconstruction Contract, Dedication Ceremony, and Corporate Sales Team (or Fast Track if I'm not quite confident of defending HQ/remote yet). Notice that IP Block (if you land a tag) and triple-advanced Mausolus are the only "end the run" routines, so this deck is not going to be rushing out an honest agenda early (though it's possible).

I think the recursion speaks for itself, and sometimes I just want to keep the game going as long as possible, ducking out of trouble while I build a nasty tag glacier. I haven't played with Museum of History much, but I figured with so many assets, it is important to try and keep recurring them so my deck isn't dead in the water. I played as Gagarin just to keep taxing every asset the runner has to go trash. Some games I have won just because I was able to keep playing my game once the runner had run out of their deck and, presumably, their economy

All told, it's a surprising deck that should lose to tag-me Counter Surveillance. But I even won a game against Counter Surveillance, I think by defending a remote with a triple-advanced Mausolus. There's a lot of power here in Reconstruction Contract. I see others have played the Atlas train with Reco-co, and maybe that's the "real" way to play it. I had my own ideas and I think I unlocked some of the power of Dedicated Response Team in the process. Thanks for reading. I would love some feedback on the ICE suite or other things people have done with this style of deck.
