Road To Startup CO - Heir To Bigrig

Hi everyone! I am hosting a Startup CO with the new ban list in the Seattle area 3/9, and thought it would be fun to post a weekly Startup deck idea until the tournament. The key word is “idea”, I hope it I get peoples deck building juices flowing for the tournament, these decks are not refined. Hope to see y’all then!

This week’s prompt is “can you make a big rig shaper now that Boat is banned?”. For this exercise I revisited my two dear meta mates Radiant and FireRL, dominant startup Boat Padma decks as a starting point. Boat allowed you to drop a single card to contest early while you built up for the end game finish. This is where I jumped to Arissana and her Slap Vandal friends.

Mission Statement: Drop Slap Vandals and Poison Vial (if needed) aka Boomerang at home, to disrupt early, then finish them with the DOOM RIG!

Places to personalize ( have fun with it!) - Deep Dive - feel free to replace with Conduit. However I found with current iteration that you can focus on the remote and then pivot to deep dive one turn and win often. This is personal preference

• breakers - 3 slaps and 1 of each breaker is pretty greedy on my part. Feel free to cut 1x poison vial and either a Bahia Band or NFL for more copies of breakers. Also could try Into the Depths for tutor, i just like money.

• Econ/draw - can adjust numbers and cards here, Slap Vandal with Urban art is cheap but getting your rig going is an investment. It’s OK to dip low if an environmental testing will pop soon.

• Tech Cards- Parica and NFL but feel free to add and subtract what you like, stoneship for example.
