Cacheing in with Nasir

cpsubrian 167

This is a different Nasir build that I was playing with tonight at my FLGS.

I really liked how it was running. Some key observations:

  • Ghost Runner and Cache are your mid-run funds (for popups or w/e)
  • Lots of recursion and rig rotation with Aesop's, Clone Ship, Scavange. You can find and recur lots of answers to common problems in the meta: D4v1d helps with Blue Sun, Imp helps everywhere, Parasite for common RP ice.
  • Originally I had Datasucker and 2 Atman as a 'combo', but the Datasuckers and Caches always got in the way of each other. This is a deck where you want 3 slots devoted to breakers and 2 spots to rotate in and out temporary fixes.
  • I never used Escher, but I still like it in theory. Is there something better?
  • I originally had 2 toolbox, but I want to try the early-game speedup that astrolabe offers.
  • I often Aesop'ed Earthrise at 1 counter. This turns Earthrise into something between a Diesel and QT and I like the pace of it. If you really need the cards you can wait for all 6.
  • I played this SUPER aggressive, maybe even too aggressive, but I'm still learning Nasir and I wanted to challenge my normal safe zone :)
  • I went 3-0 against some medium-strength decks. One was an EtF FA and the other was a MN tagstorm. Tollbooth was a real bummer, as my Femme was spent on a Flare (of all things!).

I don't know if this is better than the standard Personal Workshop fare, but it sure was fun.
