White Lines Leela (2-3 KoS and 5-2 Magnum Opus)

PsychoKiller 1

It was recommended by a friend that I take decks to Magnum Opus and first Worlds that were significant to my time playing Netrunner. I've almost always played Criminal or weird Anarch decks and Weyland or Jinteki so opted for a Leela and slightly modified version of The SSO That Was Mean to Them. This Leela deck is a slightly modified version of the @jase2224 One Last Waltz deck.

I was worried about what I thought would be a high number of CTM decks (only saw 2 personally on the day) and Scarcity of Resources so I wanted a deck that could get a lot of money fast and guard against HHN but wasn't as dependent on resources for card draw and money. Paragon is probably the better call than Gauntlet but I didn't have R & R yet and my friend's Paragons were already spoken for. Gauntlet is nice to let you have out all breakers, Sneak Door, and Equivocation if necessary or some mixture of those and Bankrolls. Gauntlet can be nice too with a weakly guarded HQ for getting some multi access when agendas hopefully build up but it's honestly too expensive. I love Fisk Investment Seminar as a card and combined with Equivocation managed to almost get two corp mills between KoS and Magnum. Equivocation was the MVP of the day.

Strategy is basic Leela strategy. Unless you have a great opening sit back for a turn or two and let them score an agenda and then drop whatever card is going to get the most accesses or do the most damage and go to town then sit back and wait and do it again. It can be tough for the corp to fully cover HQ, R and D, and archives and if you start scoring it's easy to bounce multiple pieces of ice. The deck (and myself) falls apart a little to Mti and struggles with Azmari but has a pretty strong match up against CTM and Sportsmetal.

Overall I had a ton of fun and it made me regret not going to more Worlds. I was nervous going in that the event would be super high pressure but I had some great match ups with some fun people. Special shout out to all my opponents and apologizes if I messed up your name: Janet (Apex), Brian (Argus), Dominic (Azmari), JD? (Mti), Mark (Skorpios), Ellen (CTM), and Art (SSO).
