Prav at Worlds

Zoehope 279

This is a deck that I built to have fun at Worlds 2023. It was my first major tournament, and I learned a lot of things.

Short Thoughts:

The Good:

1) Once you get the Vig going it can get mighty here producing an embarrassing amount of economy even for a consultancy firm

2) Dumping an Oracle in archives early is a great way to score a surprise Retribution) tag.

3) Scoring out the Better Citizen Program first is excellent, especially for those Esâ types.

The Bad:

1) If you get a ton of agendas in your first hand there's not must movement, it's easy to get flooded in the early game

2) A lot of 4/2s means the Runner can grab a fair few agendas. Should the Offworld's be Bellona's and / or Degree Mills.... maybe.

The Ugly:

1) It's too slow for 65 minute double sided swiss

2) It's multifunctional which is fun, but also kinda indecisive.

Longer Thoughts

I really wanted to experiment with my deckbuilding and go off-meta. I like to be creative, y'know? So, here we have what I like to call a "kill or be killed consultancy firm, for the 23rd century".

There are some really fun combos you can do here with this deck. For example:

Fun Toy One - get an Urtica out protecting a Vlad Grid and then advance the Vlad. Then if they run next turn you'll have the two you need to either

a) move across to the Urtica on approach or

b) score out either the Better Citizen Program or the Offworld Office which feels great

Fun Toy Two

Then you might want to play about with a few fake Agendas AKA NGO Fronts behind some of the nastier ICE. Get to charge up other cards for a pointless run that you can pop on success.

Fun Toy Three

This is what I call the 'green kit' which is Weyland imports in the form of Retributions and Angelique. This is a spicier win style, destroy their Rig and hit em with unexpected net damage. You can put Angelique on HQ, or add her to the Urtica out protecting a Vlad Grid for a really nasty party.
