Michael Caine fuck yeah

“Every great Apocalypse deck consists of three parts or acts. The first part is called 'The Zer0'. The Runner shows you something ordinary: a Daily Casts, a Bin Breaker or a Deuces Wild. They show you these cards. Perhaps they ask you to inspect your Heap to see if it is indeed real, unaltered, normal. But of course... it probably isn't. The second act is called 'The Rebirth'. The Runner takes the ordinary identity and makes it do something extraordinary. Now you're looking for the secret... but you won't find it, because of course you're not really looking. You don't really want to know. You want to be fooled. But you wouldn't concede yet. Because making boardstates disappear isn't enough; you have to bring it back. That's why every Apocalypse has a third act, the hardest part, the part we call 'The Labor Rights'.”

While this deck is also very good, I urge you to try The Fear for a truly dominant deck. It's weak to Titan and Aginfusion, and strong versus ASA decks. It fares very well against most other decks. You can see it in action on The Hacktivist's stream here.

A few tips:

  • Never worry about losing your first Labor Rights. Always worry about losing your second.

  • Pawnshop is usually not worth installing before an Apocalypse.

  • Don't be afraid to Zer0 away an important card, or potentially give away information. Zer0 helps accelerate you to the bottom of your deck, where you can sculpt your endgame combination of more Apocalypse, Stargate, and Rebirth into Omar.

  • However, if you have a substantial board advantage and can Apocalypse at any time, it's okay to wait and it's also okay to not Zer0.

  • 99% of the time you want to Rebirth into Omar. It's okay to wait to Rebirth if you need the economic advantages of Hoshiko early on.

  • This deck is very malleable. Switching up anything but the Apoc core of the deck probably won't hurt.

Nice list you have here. Have you considered Buffer Drive? It seems like a good include, and it helps with the trash of Zer0 and Labor Rights. Cool write up! Loved the theme
