Deck valid after Sixth Rotation |
Been playing versions of this list off and on since RWR released, finally locking into this version (excepting one SBL adjustment) just before worlds. Over three tournaments (Worlds, Austin CO and Houston Districts) it's gone 11-1-1. I think it's very good.
Just keep putting down threats. Every one of the assets except Marilyn Campaign has the potential to be a huge tempo swing in one way or the other, so keep throwing them out there. I'm often able to score agendas behind simple gear checks because the runner has exhausted themselves contesting the MCAs, Amanis and Prototypes. And if they don't contest, then you really get to ruin their day. Use Prototype to put all their resources back on their deck and put the rest back in their hand with Amani. Use Warm Reception and Spinny to draw to extra cards a turn to spam out while also charging prototype. Take more clicks than the runner cause MCA has been running all game. Then score out when you start to feel bad about how miserable your making the runner.
The deck has a lot of cool tricks but there are two that are huge blowouts and important to mention.
Three card monty opening of Prototype, Reception and Spinny. Asa to put ice on prototype optional. Threat of this play is what really makes the shaper matchup good. If they ignore you, you can pop prototype immediately up to five counts and top deck a resource (along with a huge pile of tempo). If you have the option I think you always install 3 cards vs. green and make them interact with you.
Absurd Wage Workers/MCA Austerity PolicyTurn. If you use MCA with WW on the table you can do a nasty turn of: Click to Charge MCA, Click to trash MCA (now 5 clicks) , Install 4/2, Install 4/2 (behind ice where MCA was), Install Amani, (WW click, now 3 clicks left), advance a 4/2 3 times (gain WW click again), advance and score triggering Amani. Now your up two points and runner has 3 clicks to deal with Amani and the Agenda on the table after already eating one trace from Amani. It's good stuff.
That's really all I had to say about this deck. Quick thanks to NetDad who also put in a lot of work developing this list. It was one of our longest running projects before I took it to worlds. I'm going to miss this one when it rotates.
