1st Place | Summer Kit | Undefeated Angel

I entered this into a my local (Hartlepool, UK), store's Summer Kit championship. Although the turnout was smaller than I'd expected, I still came first and am happy with that.

Cardpool: 1 Core Set, Order and Chaos, Upstalk, The Source, The Underway and Old Hollywood.

I'l try to outline the basic idea behind this deck as well as I can.

Basically, Eater and Trope are the cards that you want to get onto the field as quickly as possible in order to face-check ICE so that you can gobble it up using the cutlery, allowing you free access to their servers. Only ever run remotes this way, completely ignore central servers as they're just a waste of cutlery and card ammunition (Faust).

Investigative Journalism is there to increase the Corp's bad publicity in order to make your Eater / Corroder runs cheaper and also to get Itinerant Protesters onto the field to force them to discard down and then on your turn trigger Vigil for a free draw.

Corroder is also useful when going up against decks that include Spiderweb / Wraparound. I've Had Worse helps draw enough ammunition for Faust runs and also acts as a buffer when any meat damage occurs. Much the same as Crash Space can be sacrificed.

Gang Sign is there just in case things go t*** up.

The obvious counter to this deck would be Blacklisted and Chronos Project. The former isn't an issue in the local meta, and the only person using Chronos project doesn't use it properly, i.e. when I have a lot of cards in my heap.

All my wins were within 10-15 minutes of match start, which I hadn't been expecting.

All in all, I'm pleased with the way things went.
