NBN Glacier: A Catch-22

Indulge me in some theorycrafting.

Yesterday, I went to a tournament with the NEH deck that I've been bringing to Store Championships and I placed 3rd. In fact, every Store Champ that I brought NEH to I placed 3rd or better. However, with Clots release, I just don't want to risk it, anymore. So I thought to myself, "let's try to make an NBN Glacier deck". That is the style of play I enjoy most, anyway.

That's what this is. A glacier deck in the faction that has Tollbooth, an easily abused Ash trace, Preedictive Algorith, and Closed Accounts. I tested it against a strong Kate deck, and while it won the games we played, it didn't feel right. It did what it was supposed to, but it felt fragile. I swapped in some Elis (TMI is so bad) and an Interns, and here we are. I am asking for help; what do you think could make the deck stronger? Do you think this style of play is off limits for NBN?

The Gameplan:

RP makes you manage cards in hand as well as econ. If you aren't careful, you will be dead. If you spend all of your time clicking for cards, you will be broke. This deck, instead, is only concerned with your money. Because of that, the runner has to constantly drop tags. Even then, Universal Connectivity Fee is going to fire. This deck is all about the Runner trying to hold onto their dear credits. If they run through my huge servers, their money goes down the drain, if they don't, I'll spend a Data Raven counter or score out my installed Breaking News to close their accounts. When the Runner is tagged, you have to be able to get rid of their economy or trash Kati. The scoring server should be Archers and Tollbooths, while the centrals should be the rest. If you are up against Shaper, your Data Ravens should be over R&D. If you are up against Criminals, put them over headquarters. Ash is great in Making News, so behind an archer with a 6 base link is enough to score out.

The Problems: Econ. Its shaky. When it works, I have 25+ credits to spend freely. When it doesn't, I'm clicking for credits and am unable to rez my ICE. What can help? I don't think Making News has their equivalent of Sundew, so I don't know how to fix this problem. I am going to try with this 1x Interns just so I can fetch the trashed Melanges. Also, Atman-4. When TMI was in the deck, it helped force out the fracter. Now, I fear that Atman-4 (admittedly not the most popular breaker atm) will stomp all over this deck. I know wraparound is in faction, but putting in a single wraparound felt inconsistent. If I draw it late game, it isn't doing much. Lastly, the deck is slow. That's fine, most Glacier decks are, but I don't feel like I am setting up my gameplan until I have stable economy. So this problem is more "It's really slow in getting rich".

I appreciate any comments!

I used to run NBN glacier and actually won a store championship with it last year. Some thoughts - Marked Accounts and Pad Campaign do serious work. I'd consider throwing them in. Even with Clot, I'd consider still being open to "fast advanced" options. There's nothing scarier than a rezzed SanSan City Grid behind your wall. Also, I doubt Astroscript is dead, I would definitely play with 3. If for no Other reason than to force the opponent to clot whenever you install advance advance your 5 point agenda ;-) Draco hits pretty hard. Not a fan of Universal Connectivity fee, but can see how it might be useful... Cadeucious is pretty nice too. Right now, your deck looks less glacier and more credit denial. Which is an interesting take. Keep me posted.

Thanks! I am working on a significantly tweaked version and will test it out. btw, 47 cards was actually an oversight. That's what happens when you make so many versions of the same deck in one night XP
