Off to Build It!

Kable 229

Off the Grid deck that would be tons of times better with the other ID, but since I have to compete in a tournament that requires the usage of the most underestimated identities in the game. Anyway this has given me the chance and willpower to try this deck concept out. Great importance is given to upgrades: Red Herrings is not a mere trick, it's your main R&D defense, since it's a cheap "fire and forget" early game defense, that'll avoid you losing too much ground from a well placed or lucky maker's eye or interface, while Ruhr Valley makes running on HQ really time consuming and Corporate Troubleshooter allows you to buy time by denying a lethal HQ successful run. Early game, your main objective is to score a 5/3. Either will do, since PrioReq, will rez you an Hadrian's Wall on HQ for free, while The Cleaners will boost your Dedicated Response Team to 3, making any server in which the Team is installed a priority target. That's good: it keeps your remotes kinda "off the grid", since you'll have put some serious bling on HQ, and that's the server of choice for the Team. Snare! is my only doubt: it takes 4 influence that I could use in a more coherent way, splashing a Tollbooth or some other heavy guy, or adding Vipers due to their time-sucking function. I tried to balance ICE as much as possible, and am considering switching gates to 3 enigmas: even though they are weak, with Troubleshooter they are a potential agenda score on my off server. Summing up my doubts, I might go -2 Snare +2 Viper -2 Datapike +1 Enigma (And I'll make room to use the 2 influences). Comments welcome!

On thing I find fun, rez woodcutter and advance the shit out of it, then if they haven't seen a corporate troubleshooter yet, put him behind it, let them run, unable to meet the strength, and take 8 net damage to the face lol.

I feel like you MUST add commercialization and would be REALLY good to add shipment from kaguya.

Also the DRT is nice, but I don't think you'll be landing or sticking many tags. To that end, I feel like dataraven on HQ is better to synergize with the OTG and DRTs. I know its trying to use underutilized cards and all, but these are ideas for if you find it fun and want to take it more serious.

If you do, you'll want false lead, full snares, lots of melanges, and real ice.

Bonus points to this deck if you ever land a tag with salvage.

Where is swarm!?

I thought about swarm, but I hate BP. This is kinda my first Weyland deck, and I'm still trying to find my way around :) I think I'll actually remove Salvage to slap in some more efficient ICE. I love Viper, and in a 1.1 version I'm publishing these days I already put it in. Dataraven might be good if I remove Ruhr valley, which in playtest I found kinda unuseful: to synergize with Off the Grid it requires 12 credits, and it's not THAT taxing in Weyland.
