Corporate Troubleshooter RP - 50% kill rate

LSK 4674

I've been keeping this deck secret for a while, because the kill condition is so unexpected and it lets the deck win from really far behind.

The kill is Komainu + Corporate Troubleshooter with a scored House of Knives. To pull this off, you usually need to have more money than the runner. There aren't any Enhanced Login Protocols in this deck because I want to encourage a decent amount of running, so you can have more money than the runner.

The upside to this combo is that it's a set of cards you're already happy to be running - Komainu is standard-issue in RP, Corporate Troubleshooter isn't but does a good job of helping the deck score agendas, and House of Knives is an in-faction agenda. The combo also requires much less influence than Sea Source / Scorched Earth, which most runners are prepared to handle anyways.

The downside to packing this combo is that you need to play House of Knives, which makes the agenda numbers a bit wonky. It becomes possible to score House of Knives / Nisei / The Future Perfect and have to score another Nisei or three-pointer to finish the game. That said, the runner has the same problem with regards to House of Knives, so it's not all bad. Might make sense to turn two of the 5/3s into three NAPD Contracts.

I am suspicious of the proclamation of a 50% kill rate. You only have two apiece of each of the three vital cards, one of which is an agenda that must be scored. The probability of all that coming together seems far lower than 50%

If the Komainu is unrezzed, this is countered by Deus X, Feedback Filter and Net Shield. If it is rezzed, you also have to worry about Femme Fatale and parasite. None of those cards are particularly uncommon.

Don't get me wrong: I love the idea! But I am doubtful of your kill rate with it.

Well, the title is clickbait, but in my 10 games with the current version deck I did kill 5 runners. Four times, it was from the combo; once, it was from a Snare.

Haha, seriously, clickbait? Well it clearly worked on me... I hope we don't get decks named things like 'Defeat NEH with this one weird trick... Corporations hate her!'
