Friends in SanSan City (1st Newcastle store championship)

Jmac 32

I took this deck to my first store championship win. It is a fairly simple deck using Friends in High Places to recur trashed ice, SanSan City Grid and the Eve Campaign, Adonis Campaign, Breaker Bay Grid combo. The Next ice suite is helpful against stealth decks and allows for influence investment elsewhere in the deck. I chose to play Chronos Project over other agendas as it can be easily fast advanced and it helps against account siphon and levy decks. I chose SanSan City Grid over cards like Marcus Batty as it isn't blanked by rumour mill.

The overall game plan is to get a campaign on line to provide money and win via fast advance. You may need to dedicate early ice to this depending on the runner which can leave central servers vulnerable. Also be careful what you put back in to your deck with Jackson Howard as it won't be available for Friends in High Places. Neither clot or Salsette slums were a big problem on the day.

On the day I faced: Smoke (Win), by being able to score out much faster than they could set up with plenty of money from campaigns and a San San.

Ken Tenma (Loss), my opponent played well and got rewarded with agendas on some early accesses closing out the game with a well timed legwork.

Maxx (Win), I managed to dodge siphons all game with a combination of HQ ice and assets to rez when the levy and breakers got removed by chronos project there was no way to get into my servers to install DLR.

Valencia (Win), I fired the accelerated beta test and was rewarded with two pieces of ice one went over a SanSan and the other on R&D and fast advanced all my agenda points.
