Comet Kate 1.0

duckie192 9

It's based on a standard Prepaid Kate base. aggressive and quick once the set up is done, and the discounts are primarily for the comet and voice pad. optimally, this a mid to late game type deck.

combos in this deck :

  1. Adjusted Chronotype + Starlight Crusade Funding + Comet. This the the core backbone of the deck. These will make most of the combos in the deck flow. Very Important you play these as soon as you see it!

  2. Test Run + Eureka. With The above cards on the board, in 2 turns you have 2 breakers out, for one click each. (per turn) it get ridiculous when you're playing 2 breakers in one turn.

  3. Test Run + Scavenge The standard combo, but in this case, you can do it one click.

  4. Lucky Find x2 gain 15 in one click (if you have 3 prepaids out on board) its halfway ridiculous and it always makes the corp gasp for air.

  5. Late Game Power Nap into Levi AR Lab Access. Pretty self explained, this can make the corp sweat, especially since it gives you (renewed) options.

  6. Power Runs with The Maker's Eye x2 or Maker's Eye w/ Legwork. Again, For 1 click, it can seriously ruin the corp's day.

Pros of this deck (that I've encountered so far)

  1. Once set up is complete, a lot of money. the early game is powered by Sure Gamble, Mid game onward by Lucky Finds, and Late Midgame/end game by Power Naps. with that much money, and the breakers being highly efficient, you you're gonna out muscle most ICE you encounter, you're gonna out money most ASHes you encounter, and when you meet a Caprice, just always bet 0.

  2. The Janky fun factor in this deck makes it incredibly amusing to play, especially against large glacial decks, and tag and bag type of decks.

Problems of this deck (that i've encountered so far)

  1. The set up for decks like this always the problem. if you don't draw Starlight or Chronotype and/or the Comet, you have to be mad aggressive with the draw, and you can't be afraid to throw cards away. ALWAYS throw the breakers away, and hold on to exactly 1 copy of Levy AR.

  2. Chronos Project is the bane of this deck, since there is heavy usage with the heap. if you think your opponents have Chronos Project, you have to try to be more aggressive in how you approach the Corp.

3. Just a single breaker suite with no back-ups is totally gonna be an issue at some point, but i haven't had many issues to be honest, so i can't really comment on that at the moment.

I made this deck because i was kind bored with seeing the standard type of prepaid Kate. That somehow never appealed to me as a player, and i always want to try out decks that are slightly different.

suggestions would be good, as i take more time to test and refine the deck.
