17 Influence Omar

Pinkwarrior 2351

Based on the dumbleforks build and only to see how much Inf i could squeeze out of Omar abusing the MWL. Although I could make the Inf higher I wanted to keep the deck playable so had to make some cut backs to get the list down to 46 cards.

Your Idea is so evil. Like it.

The only issue I see here is that it dies to Boom super easily.

@AtropheXTrue enough, But it's easy enough to swap a few cards around to protect from that if that's what your worried about. It's also not that easy for the corp to keep hold of a BOOM! with them having to spread their ICE thin and you destroying it all.

And this is the sort of filth I have to face every week... @Pinkwarrior also found out that #Reaver triggers off trashing corp cards, why I've told you I've no idea

@Enrico_Matassa Because you have to vent somewhere :) Least you didn't get killed by the triple Marcus Batty into Cobra.

Am not sure what you mean by trashing corp cards tho? I assume you meant cards like daily cast that just trash on their own.

Am not sure what you mean by trashing corp cards tho? I assume you meant assets that just get trash but am not sure that's been confirmed. It dose work with your cards like daily that just trash on their own tho.

How does this work in that you can legally get to 17 inf? Somehow I don't get it!

You're not getting 17 influence, you're getting 17 'MWL' Points. The MWL says that cards do -1 influence, never less than 1 (looking out for professor). So if you hit 1 using MWL cards, then you get 1 inf for Employee Strike/Rebirth. Its kinda like influence.

Got it. Thanks for the explanation

I am just getting back into Netrunner after a year off, am i missing something?

How is this even legal to play under NAPD MWL 1.1? You are currently running -16 influence with one card with 1 influence cost. that put you 4 points out of legal, doesn't. even if the assumption was that Omar had 15 influence your still 2 point over.

An Identity’s printed influence limit cannot be reduced below 1. Each copy of a card from this list reduces an Identity’s influence limit by 1 when included in a deck. An Identity’s influence limit is reduced even if the cards on this list match the Identity’s faction. An out-of-faction card still counts its influence value against the Identity’s influence limit.

If what @x3r0h0ursays is correct that logic would mean the deck as 0 influence and Employee Strike would need to be removed. But i think the intent of the of the statement is that you can build decks with less then one influence. i could be wrong and can definitely see how you "lawyer" the statement that "An Identity’s printed influence limit cannot be reduced below 1." as we can go as negative as we want, you just don't have any influence to spend.

@K0diak.360 Your missing the point that a ID's influence cannot be lowered to less than 1 so if you add 11 NAPD MWL cards your ID influence in this case is reduced to 1 if you add another one then it stays at 1 since it cannot be reduced to less than 1.

As such any cards added after the 11th from the NAPD MWL effectively do not apply the downside, the same way it effects The Professor: Keeper of Knowledge. Thus after adding 16 NAPD cards to the deck i still have 1 free for Employee Strike. I hope that clears things up for you.

@Pinkwarriorgot it... Thank you!

FYI, the reason i stopped playing this game a year ago was MWL, well that and i disagree on the frequency of cards cycling out.

I heard that Daemon had taken over full at the start of the this last cycle and really like what i saw from those cards and decided to get back in.
