viruses! 1st place GNK

Giles 37

basically the main aim is to disrupt your opponent by millinh cards removing vulnerable assets and recurring clot.

This deck doesn't need to run a lot and you can usually wait until your opponents are likely to win before risking a check of archives.

So your main strategy is to play the reactive game, rather than taking the fight to the corp you should sit back build up your engine with occasional virus disruption until you see an opening.

I have played with this variation for a while now and it lost 1 game at the leeds babw qualifier and one game at the GNK i won. I'm thinking that i might remove the Memstrips as i very rarely want to play it unless im trying to keep multiple gravediggers on the board. So that might come out for another street peddler or possibly harbinger as some defence against power shutdown.

any thoughts or advice are welcome.

Gravedigger-I love it!

Maybe try: -1 Clot, -1 MemStrips, -1 Clone Chip for +1 Aesops, +1 Peddler, +1 Chronotype?

Also would love to sneak a D4VID in somehow for pesky Wraparounds, Turings, and assorted corporate shenanigans.

yeah, im reluctant to go to 3 peddlers as it will lower the density of viruses and put me more reliant on getting gravedigger triggers to enable the mill. Clone chip for Aesops is a reasonable idea, i don't usually have a problem finding aesops or survivng until i do so id prefer the extra clone chip as multiple clone chips aren't dead draws.

The 3 clots was a personal choice as i was playing against a lot of fast advance and i wanted to be sure of finding one early enough to keep me in the game, also its cheap and a virus which means multiples dont set me back much.

swapping a clot or memstrips for a d4vid and chronotype could be good but im generally ok not making too many runs so the D4vid would mainly be for pesky turings.

"[...] not making too many runs [...]" Understatement much?
