Not a real Carnivore (6th @Summer Showdown)

OF15-15 324

Did you know that Heliamphoras eat insects, but due to fact that most of them aren't able to produce the necessary digestive enzymes, they are technically not considered to be Carnivores?

Nom Nom Nom It likes to eat spiders as well

This deck is my second spin on a Patchwork + Conduit + Aeneas Informant deck. After I played a similar list at the first Fly to EMEA tournament, @jan tuno published this beautiful deck. I really liked the faster setup with The Price and the strong late game with Labor Rights and DJ Fenris and I agree that purges definitely feel less bad if you're playing Stargate instead of Conduit.

Still, loosing the possibility to dig deep into R&D, making tons of money and build up counters on Leech and Aumakua felt bad somehow, so I decided to go back to Conduit. Heliamphora was a last-minute-include to help against purges and between clearing Mavirus from archives and being a pseudo-Legwork, it felt like a solid include.

Huge shoutout to @ManInTheMoon for organizing two big Online-COs this year. It was a blast to play and I'm already hyped for the next Showdown. Thanks to my opponents for the awesome games and to everyone for playing and making this a 72-player CO!

[EDIT: also a shoutout to @Diogene for suggesting Heliamphora in the comments of my last list, even though I forgot about it]

How often do you price away an Aeneas Informant? Tried something similar after seeing your last post, always loved aeneas + conduit, but decided to switch to 2 missbones + stargate cause every time I used the price the options were aeneas or something better (an aumakua early, a crew and so on...).

Also, when facing asset spam, what are the key asset you allow the corp to have in order for these aeneas to do their job properly? :3

@Silent Arbiter happens sometimes, but it's not worse than finding one very late imo. That's what the Labor Rights are for
