Shoot the Moon but M.I.C. (16th at German Nats)

VirtualAnalogue 14

My corp decklist for German Nats. As runner I did a slightly modified Spark Esâ.

About the Deck

Yet another case of taking an amazing decklist (maninthemoon's Shoot the Moon) and tweaking it a tiny bit: -1 Magnet, +1 M.I.C.

Why? Because I'm not taking Physarum as seriously as I should. Though the idea is that if the match devolves into not being able to pull off the Big Deal at the end, another ice that can turn the tide and defend a Manegarmed Ikawah could be nice to have. Though it is expensive.

The Tournament

Placed 2-2-0 with this deck (and 3-2-0 as runner) in Double-Sided Swiss.

  • Round 1: Got overpowered by rustryder piloting Hoshiko, lost to time. I think I failed to draw my Rashidas early here.
  • Round 2: Lost to TwadaCZ piloting a Sable. Don't remember the details.
  • Round 3: Finally, the engine worked as intended. Completely outpaced Alecthar running as Kit. There was the amazing moment where I got hit by a Cataloguer and the cards went Rashida–RLC–YDL–YDL. Best Alecthar could do there was put the Rashida on top as to at least make me draw into the econ.
  • Round 4: Didn't get to play corp since I settled on a 2-4-1 with wowarlock and got assigned Runner.
  • Round 5: After my runner loss, still had a bit of time to play against J0N4LD on World Tree Arissana. Beginning went smooth for me. Then we had a judge call about a RLC misunderstanding/miscommunication. Call was decided in my favor and in the remaining time I just managed to stay ahead in points. Still super sorry about this one.
