I'm sick and tired of getting Power Tap in my opening hands. I added in some cheap one influence Crim connections, namely Maxwell James and Autumn Man. Synergy with Off-Campus Apartment and less upfront cost for me? Yes, please, this deck doesn't need any more dead draw potential. Can't get to late game if I keep getting rushed to death!

Why Play Sunny?

6 and a peek at the top of R&D is the ideal endgame for any Runner, so keep drawing like an art major in finals crunch to get set up. Don't be afraid to toss what you won't need in the matchup if it gets you the money you need. With the usual Security Nexus shenanigans, you can get past anything AND get paid with Power Tap. In a world without SanSan City Grid, Astrotrain, 24/7 Breaking BOOM, Jackson, or even IG Prison, Sunny sets up in relative peace. Her built in link is great against CTM! And once she gets set up, she eats glaciers whole while she peeks at every card in R&D before your enemy has a chance to grab it themselves.

General Discussion:

I lost my damn Patron and Temüjin Contract synergy! But what I lost there, I gained in other useful cards. Corporate Defector is actually super useful in the post-Jackson world and gives late-game Sunny even more lockdown potential. If the Corp can't just shuffle away your Globalsec Security Clearance, you'll know what they are mandatory drawing every turn. With Snowden Lite, you'll see everything else that isn't pulled via operation! And Mad Dash nets you an additional point, and doesn't cancel Pickin' Up the Kids like "Freedom Through Equality" does!

For money, I put in Liberated Account instead. It doesn't quite match the efficiency of Temüjin Contract, but it also doesn't trigger Hard Hitting News! I added back in Off-Campus Apartment and a bunch of connections to make up for Patron, so say hello to Councilman, Film Critic, and the usual assortment of Underworld Contact and The Supplier. I'm not sure I really need Councilman in a post-Jackson and post-Caprice world, but he's there for now to shut off evil Warroids and generally make upgrades less surprising. Jay Sherman is here to prevent Hunter Seeker and other newly-restricted cards from biting so hard, so those are another couple slots for consideration.

Other Potential Changes:

If this DOES go back to a Patron deck, (which it shouldn't until there's some cure for the lack of Hostage), take out the Multithreader and replace with Datasucker. Consider some a replacement for some Power Taps with Maxwell James. Citadel Sanctuary is nice against NBN and some Weyland decks, but it's far from necessary. Consider Fall Guy since he's a nice connection to stop your apartment from getting Mills'd.

Unused Common Cards:

Daily Casts is fine drip econ, but you're already the master of for no clicks, and yours never expire! It's too slow and too expensive without Career Fair, and that already has plenty of targets. Same Old Thing I guess can bring back money cards, but Sunny's bread and butter is in resources. Sports Hopper is one way to get to 5 for Nexus, but it's very expensive for not a lot of benefit. Symmetrical Visage helps with draw efficiency, but it's not a connection in an Off-Campus Apartment deck, so out it goes.

How To Play Sunny:

Cards to look out for in your opening hand: Liberated Account and Career Fair or some combo of Off-Campus Apartment and connections to get going at light-speed. Sunny's 50 card minimum and expensive breakers mean you really have to think before you mulligan; it's undeniably possible to get all three programs and some high-cost resources. Once you've set up your full (extravagantly large) suite, nobody is better at closing with Globalsec Security Clearance and punishing small servers using Security Nexus. What she lacks in high-impact Shaper runs, she more than makes up for in consistent R&D pressure. Make those kids proud and good luck out there.
