Slimline Security

So this is the Sunny deck I've been testing a bit online. None of her cards are coded on Jinteki yet, of course, but that's actually been my only problem so far; this thing's performing better than I had hoped.

2 Link. That's it. That's all you get for that horrible 50-card minimum. So my main concerns with building were offsetting the disadvantage while getting every benefit I could from those link.

ECONOMY: Probably no surprises here. I start with 2 Link and never have less than 2 MU, so Data Folding and UWC are no-brainers. Symmetrical Visage and a couple Daily Casts round it out to give you a frankly staggering amount of clickless credits once you get into the midgame. 3 each Career Fair and Modded are great here too, given the cost of Sunny's breakers and console and the sheer number of resources.

THAT DECK SIZE, DOE: Career Fair-ing an Earthrise gives you a nice way to burn through some of the deck, and obviously Symmetrical Visage means you don't mind clicking to draw a bit. But Paige Piper really makes a difference when she show up early. Trash extra Paiges, Visages, consoles, and breakers for up to 11 cards shaved off the stack.

PROGRAMS: I'm finding Sunny's breakers a little slow to start, but they really pay off later. There's a little bit of a tempo hit on the installs (that's what Modded is for), and the costs basically break down to "Spend 4 credits to break most Ice." But once you get some combination of Multithreaders and Datasuckers down, you're breaking even big servers pretty cheaply (2 Multithreaders on the board basically means "Pass one Ice per turn for free". Oh - and the fact that your breakers are all in the cloud frees up the MU to play those support programs while keeping Data Folding turned on. Beautiful.

SUPPORT: In my early testing, Security Nexus has been a beast. I know it's terrible to install (another use for Modded, maybe?) but that ability... man. If you can get up to at least 4 link, the Corp is usually not going to boost the trace, and you'll frequently be ahead on economy anyway. Which turns Nexus into a once-per-turn Femme that works on any Ice on the board. Breathtaking. Security Chips should be dropped and saved so the Corp never, ever has a scoring window. If you can get two Globalsecs and your console down, you're at 5 link, which means popping a Sec Chip puts all your breakers at 6 STR for the run before you even dip into those Multithreader credits. Nice.

The one thing I kind of wish is that I had more multiaccess - but I'm very in love with the places I've spent my influence here. Hard to free up room for a second HQI or third RDI. It can suck when you've got your rig built and can't use it effectively because you haven't drawn into your multiaccess yet, but if the game reaches the late stage you're pretty much going to have every server locked down, so then it's just a matter of time.

This is a deck that requires some setup time, and you'll almost certainly let the Corp score an Agenda before you're ready to run hard. That makes NBN Fast Advance problematic, probably. But by the time you're in the mid game, you'll have a pretty efficient rig and free money every turn. And all that link means the Corp will have a hell of a time tagging and/or bagging you. Now, if I could only find those Interfaces...
