Do lots of brain damage!

lots of brain damage ice. Then Awakening Center, Cerebral Overwriter and Tyr's Hand to try and drive home additional brain damage. Haven't really balanced the ice yet in terms of the rez cost curve.

Also, wonder if I ought to try and get in a Neural Katana or some other net damage cards (rather than the taxing Toolbooth and Caduceus) to try and combo with the brain damage to flatline the runner.

HB brain damage is a neat idea, and one that is starting to see some more play. Out of curiosity, do you have a limited card pool? I'm noticing almost all of your cards are from Core, Creation & Control, or 1-2 other packs. If so, take the following suggestions with a grain of salt.

If you want to use Awakening Center, you might want to add more ways to get ice and assets back into your hand. I would suggest cutting Caduceus for Architect (has the added benefit of giving you more influence). You also could try swapping Archived Memories for Reclamation Order, which can give you 2-3 copies of a specific ice back in hand so you can then place back in Awakening Center.

I think you're going to find that your economy is too light. Caduceus is not reliable enough, as it becomes easy to break once they get Mimic or a low-cost killer in play. Have you considered Melange Mining Corp.? The opponent will run more cautiously once they're hit by your traps (Aggressive Secretary, Cerebral Overwriter), so they may not run all of your facedown cards. That opens a window to rez and use it for 7 credits, which suddenly makes your other unrezzed cards more dangerous.

If you have it, Ryon Knight combos well with your ice suite. Of note, the encounter against ice rezzed by Awakening Center still occurs during a run, so you can more easily hit them with brain damage if they try to click their way through your bioroids.

Thanks for posting. Advice always welcome!

You are quite right, I'm fairly new to netrunner, and only have 1 core set, Future Proof, Humanties Shadow, and Creation and Control.

More efficient recursion of ice definitely sounds like a good plan so will look at getting the pack with Reclamation Order in, as that one is already looking like good value with Caprice Nisei and NAPD Contract.

And there's nothing I hate more than being screwed for money so Melange can definitely go in.

Really like the idea of using Ryon Knight and bring him back multiple times as well as he's so cheap to get out!

Would Self-Destruct Chips be worth running in this deck to combo with the brain damage?

Self-Destruct Chips is great if your game plan is to win via brain damage flatline. It has inherent synergy with Ryon Knight and Cybernetics Division: Humanity Upgraded, all of which are in the Chrome City data pack. If this type of deck archetype interests you, I'd recommend checking it out.

In the meantime, HB:EtF is always a solid ID, and Archived Memories will be just fine for recursion. I think you could afford to get away with fewer ice, maybe in the 16-18 range, so swapping out 3 ice for 3x Melange Mining Corp or 2x Melange and 1x something else is a good option.

If you want to get more bang for your buck out of Zed 1.0, I would alternatively suggest Corporate Troubleshooter. It's a good way to put him out of range of their killer.
