Haas-Bioroid: Viral Immunity

djsabor 1

Took this 2013 Worlds winner and made a very simple tweak to see if I'll have more success using it against a Noise milling deck that uses viruses almost exclusively. Given the milling that occurs on each turn with Noise as the ID, many of my agendas ended up in Archives, where they were easy pickings for my opponent. Using Archived Memories at strategic points throughout the game, in conjunction with Biotic Labor to gain two more clicks - opportunities to advance and score agendas, especially on a SanSan City Grid upgrade - should prevent the winning strategy of running on Archives to remove all the agendas that have been moved there by the ID. We shall see!

Other changes I made included removing Pop-up Window (x2) in favor of Shipment from SanSan (x2); the logic here is that the econ generation of the Pop-Up is actually not needed, if a click can be sacrificed for quick advancement. This is actually more important.

Archived Memories also worked well in testing, as the SanSan City Grid allows for quick advancement of agendas, such that Project Vitruvirus can easily be advanced for just two credits, rather than leaving it out and advancing it beyond three for the ability to bring a card back from the Archives. Because PV's benefit is superseded by the fast advancing using SanSan, I've removed them altogether in favor of NAPD Contract, agendas which at least force a cost to steal upon the runner.

I'm happy to report that my first test was a success, and I defeated my opponent's Noise milling deck 7 points to 6.

This is my first published deck tweak of any sort and it probably shows. Thanks for checking it out.
