Mwanza Vs Stress (AINT 2018)

Algebraic 909

Another deck I threw together for the Algebraic Invitational Netrunner Tournament playing with the new cards from Reign & Reverie, however, I am surprisingly happy with how this one worked out after going 3-0 beating Liza, Geist and Sunny by net damage, meat damage and scoring out respectively.

When people reviewed Saraswati Mnemonics it was only seen as a trap deck with a Mushin No Shin on a stick. However I wanted to look at it as a way to score 4 agenda points over 2 turns by using the ability on the ID with a 5/3 agenda and using "Clones are not People". This gives Punitive Counterstrike decks a rush element meaning mistakes are more likely from the Runner. The ID doesn't fire very often but it is often more meaningful when it does.

Another card from the new Big Box that interested me was Divert Power as a way to turn off Mwanza City Grid. This card is often great until it is terrible so having a way to switch it off is a huge benefit. This card is also why I included some 0 cost ICE like Mind Game and Pop-Up Window to help rez some of the bigger pieces of ICE. There are almost certainly some tweaks to be made in this deck but it is something I shall be playing around with further.

Good job flatlining a Geist! That's no easy task!

The combination of Saraswati + Clones Are Not People is very inspired. What a great idea!

Also, thank you for pointing out that Divert Power:

1) is only one influence

2) exists

I think both those facts are gonna make it a lot more useful.

„as a way to score 4 agenda points over 2 turns by using the ability on the ID with a 5/3 agenda and using "Clones are not People"“ How? T1: Install Agenda, T2 Advance second time, T3 Play Clones are not people? You can only do this without protecting the agenda with an ice... is this a good idea?

Ah, sorry, misread the ID. Thought it had to be a new remote... But of course you can’t use an already iced one...
