MaxXsucker v3

Alright, I want to go on record and say that (after this) I am done spamming this deck on NetrunnerDB. Of course, I don't mean to annoy by repeatedly publishing the same deck over and over again, its just that I have made a lot of changes over the last few weeks. I liked posting the current versions that I'd bring to a tournament. So, this is the last MaxXsucker that I am posting (at least until The Valley - of course ;P).

So, I made this deck from scratch, and started working on it at the beginning of February. Since then, I brought some version of it to 3 store championships. I placed 3rd at 2 of them, and won 1 of them. I am absolutely certain that MaxXsucker is the most competitive runner deck that I've made, and I feel very confident with this specific build.

The main thing that gets tossed around in this deck is the econ package. This version goes with PPvP and Desperado. While some people will argue that the two don't mix well, I disagree. This deck really shines when you have 2 PPvP and your Desperado installed. Running a 45 card MaxX deck just means its easier to set up your first PPvP, and once its there, it does wonders. Desperado is in the deck so I haven't placed all of my eggs in one basket. When I ran PPvP as the only econ engine, I found that milling burst econ could really hurt your game. That's what motivated me to ditch the PPvP set up altogether. However, with Desperado, you can usually hold out until your next econ card comes to you.

I ended with the PPvP build, not only because it makes mad money, but because it urges me to use my Deja Vus more often. In a non-PPvP build, deja vu can be a tempo hit (2 credits and a click, plus the cost of the card you recurred). In this build, recursion is much more liberal. Its nice to be able to grab Ice Carver for free, since it'll cost 3 dollars to install. Its also nice to have multiple PPvPs out when you play Levy. I found that the auto-include cards just work better with PPvP.

I threw in a Knifed in there because of Eli 1.0, and although I still haven't killed an Eli with it (!), it has definitely pulled its weight. Killing an Asteroid Belt feels fantastic when you have Ice Carver and sucker tokens, as well as a Desperado installed. It costs you no real money, and you will never have to go through it again.

Ice Carver is just too important not to talk about, even though it isn't new to the deck. It just saves you after a purge, which is extremely vital to the deck. Most corps have the tools to keep you out now (like Constellation ICE), so having Ice Carver and Knight in the deck mean that I can recover and get that ball rolling again. Ice Carver also pulls its weight when you run Yog. Its nice to completely dismantle a hostile Merlin weighting to be rezzed. When you Personal Touch Yog, and then instal Ice Carver, Code Gates couldn't be more trivial.

Everything else is old news. The Personal Touch, the Retrieval Run, etc. Its a criminal deck that takes advantage of the fact that its in Anarch. It is very efficient and it has gotten to the point where every deckslot matters. I really want an Infiltration in here, but there is absolutely no room. I have no idea how I'll fit Clot, so I would appreciate any advice! Note: I am no longer willing to compromise on the deck size. I am a true believer in 45-card MaxX now :P

Your deck went mostly undefeated in Colorado. Can't wait to try these new add ons. I'm loving it!
