Breezing past Turbine, 1st at Danish Nationals

This deck had 3 wins and one timed draw at Danish Nats, earning 1st place

I love reg hosh and have tried many variations. This is one that I have enjoyed playing. I've never been a fan of K2CP Turbine because it feels too good at what it does. For the past year of playing Hoshiko I've been relying mostly on 2x Leech to get through high strength ice.

After sitting down and analyzing some losses, I realized a big portion of late game losses comes either from running out of money or getting hit by Mavirus mid-run. Since I refuse to play Turbine, I turned to Takobi. It needs more work to be useful compared to Turbine, but the payoff is usually bigger since the extra strength it provides is very relevant against our meta favorite.

The other spicy include is Odore, which I hoped will make Archer easier to deal with, while also having some nice synergy with Takobi, like breaking a Drafter for just a single Takobi counter. I've never actually faced Archer, and even though it costs 8 to break, in many situations that's still much better than Echelon can offer. The real answer is probably to play Revolver but that's a very different deck.

We play more companions to get 3 virtuals up sooner. I'm usually on 2 Mystic Maemi but could only find one when assembling my deck for the tournament. I'm rarely disappoined to draw these anyway, even in matchups with fewer ice.

Given time to set up this rig can melt any ice, and the deck can get there with the plushies, bankhar, and boomerang.
