FAQ

  • Do you think you might have an 'economy cards' issue?

No, I don't have an economy cards issue. I can stop at any time. No problem there. I just like to put Desperado, Dirty Laundry, Sure Gamble, Datasucker, Magnum Opus, and Modded in a 40 cards deck.

  • Are you not ashamed of your deck title?

Not at all. ...

... Ok, maybe a little.

  • How does this deck work?

Well, you have the usual - R&D and HQ multi-access, a breaker of each, tutors... And then you have Notoriety :D

At best, the plan is to make 3 high-value runs on centrals and then score Notoriety (Dirty Laundry on archives with desperado and datasucker installed, a Code Siphon run on R&D to get a Femme Fatale and a Legwork on HQ #livingthedream)

  • You are not playing with cards from O&C.

This is not a question.

Femme would be an expensive breaker for many matchups ( RP, NEH, etc. ), would 1 mimic and 1 femme be a better choice? With datasucker support, mimic could handle alot of sentries and you could switch over femme for problem ice. I see the idea of notoriety but given running 3 centrals in a turn is 3 clicks of econ-lost and probably 8 - 10 credits (much more against many corps), it seems just dropping them for maker's eyes and more fruitful R&D digs is worth more than the 1 point.

Like the deck though, straight forward and powerful.

Femme Fatale is mostly expensive against Architect, which is counterbalanced by the inclusion of Datasucker. I've put two of them in because I quite like not having singletons, but you can indeed replace one by a mimic against NEH.

The cost of Notoriety is mitigated by Desperado and Datasucker, which both trigger during each central run. You're right though, replacing Notoriety by The Maker's Eye (or better yet Indexing) would make the deck stronger - but less fun to play.

Whilst I'm all for an appropriate amount of econ in Chaos Theory (god bless her deck size), do you need modded? This deck prints credits faster than Fantasy Flight. Three Maker's Eyes could do well in that spot. I understand if you're and R&Di man, but I love myself a Maker's Eye.

Side note, how do I do the hyperlink thingy?

@NinjaLemon007 : modded is actually very important, as it accelerates your early game a lot. You can install Magnum Opus without suffering too much, install desperado first turn and still have three clicks and 5 creds to do stuff, etc. You can see them as Sure Gamble 4, 5, and 6. As the deck includes R&D Interfaces, you're still happy to see them late game. If I were to include something in their stead, it would be Indexing, to boost the Jinteki matchup.

You can hyperlink stuff by hashtagging them: # desperado (without the space between the # and desp...). It displays a drop-down menu where you can select desperado to get the hyperlink - just like that: [Desperado] (/en/card/01024) (without the space between ] and ( ).
