Stealth Kate - Warren, MI Regional 2nd place

rnishimura 159

2nd place in the Warren, MI Regional held in Eternal Games on June 6th with 63 players. This deck was also 1st place on the Metro Detroit GLC, where it went undefeated (http://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/21515/stealth-kate-metro-detroit-glc-top-qualifier)

Went 4-2 in swiss. Wins against NEXT Design, NEH Butcher Shop, Blue Sun and Jinteki Biotech (time win). Losses against NEH Butcher Shop and RP.

Went 0-1-1 in double-elimination. Time tie against RP . Loss against RP (same of swiss)

I have been trying the stealth suite in a few runners - Andromeda, Hayley, and even Silhouette (just for thematic purposes, after all she is a stealth operative :P), and Kate was the one that I got the best results.

This deck works pretty well against slow, glacier decks, that seems to be currently prevalent after Clot sweep away many of the fast advance decks. Once the stealth suite is set, you can go pretty much anywhere. However, you can usually make only one or two runs per turn. For this reason, I put in this deck Woman in the Red Dress. I don't use her in every game, but every game I play her, she makes wonders. Not only create a massive pressure to the corp, but she also gives valuable information, like a Snare! on top of R&D, which saves me some games...

But I have to admit that this deck struggles with economy and card draw. I'm not entirely sure what to replace and it has been doing pretty well, but I'm opened to suggestion.

Also, the RP match up is not great, as it can be seen by the record on this tournament... But, nowadays, which runner has a good match up against RP anyways?

OBS.: Of course that I posted the wrong version of this deck... I was actually running 3 Symmetrical Visage instead of 3 ProCos. In earlier versions of this deck I had 3 ProCos, but after realizing I was using it not much more than once per turn, on average, I decided to make that change.

I gave some runs with this deck, and I think you can make it slightly better by going to 1 lock pick and adding 2 armitage, and maybe changing procons to visage (maybe -3 procon, +2 visage +1 armitage, ending with 3 armitage). Otherwise, dirty laundry can work, since you have RDI). Those should fix up the econ game, but maybe procons is better in the glacier world (than visage).

Oh man, I posted the wrong version of this deck :P The version I was running on Saturday had 3 Symmetrical Visage instead of 3 ProCos. I like your suggestion about cutting 2 Lockpicks to Armitage, since I was barely using them anyway. I'll try that out, thanks!

But to be honest, I'm getting sick of losing to RP because of psi games... I think I'm gonna try a Kit Vamp for a while to see how that goes. If you have any other suggestions for that match-up with this deck, I would definitely like to hear about it as well! :)
