Capital Punishment - 2nd Place Cambridge Regionals (53 PPL)

Anachron 229

This is the current version of the Titan Transnational deck I've been refining for almost a year.

I'll write about some of the recent changes to the deck but I would be happy to discuss the deck in detail, if there is interest.

The Negotiators were a concession towards link runners (the slot was previously held by two more Caduceus). They ended up not mattering as I lost my match vs TF34's first place Andy in swiss, despite them.

Bailiff was a new addition, replacing 2x Icewall and 1x Meru Mati. As all of my losses with the deck on the day were to decks with Account Siphon, I am going to rethink this. Outside of the Siphon match-up, they were very good.

Congrats! I'm definitely interested in a write up of your deck.

So with all the asset hate flying around are you icing two servers (one for construction co?) if so is that affecting your tempo in regards to rushing agendas?

itamom420: There's not enough ice to defend two remotes. Against a deck like Whizzard, I don't even want to defend HQ.

I have no problem putting a Construction Company in my scoring remote with a SanSan and playing to my outs, when necessary. That said, I am not generally looking to accumulate tokens on an MCC - I use it as a game-ender.

Did you consider Executive Boot Camp in this list? It helps you fetch important assets, and has the side benefit of hosing any Blackmail decks that might be lurking around. Pulling Snare into your HQ could be useful in certain matchups as well.

bracketbot: EBC is one of the flex cards I bring in depending on the meta. I was using it along with a 1x Lizzie Mills the way you describe for a while. The deck has 3 "tech" slots (2x Crisium, CVS) that can easily be changed to suit whatever you expect to see.

Good deck, congrats!

What the problem with Bailiff and Account Siphon? Do you think Ice Wall/Meru Mati do protect from it better?

What was impact from Snare!, people still run last click even at regionals? Think about Cortex Lock?

igrekk: There was a situation where bailiff ended up improving a siphon when it was on HQ. For HQ defense in a siphon matchup, I would prefer Meru.

People don't run last click unless they're desperate or they think you're all in on the FA plan. The Snare! is a great card vs Faust, and can open scoring windows in that matchup. It can also soften up a runner protected by plascrete for a follow up kill.

Cortex Lock is a great piece of ice for this deck and if I had the MWL influence back, I would play one in a heartbeat. It's probably a fine substitution for Snare! if you want to rush harder.

@Anachron after some preliminary testing this deck seems to have a seriously hard time against criminal.

what about Dedication Ceremony? What is the plan for this card?
