Nero Garrote

MasN 97

Just a Nero Severn deck I've been having success with. The game plan is to ProCo early, using hostage to tutor for it. Its your only draw engine, and you only have one of them, so do not let it die. This is not a tag-me deck. Then, the idea is to establish drip while denying the corp Adonis Campaign and similar. If the corp tries to score out, you can use Special Order or Inside Job to get in.

Face-check first before firing the Inside Job to force the rez, but beware spiky code gates like Enigma. Face-checking HQ when you have a Political Operative in hand is a win-win, either they rez and you bounce and you get information about HQ, allowing you to set up Account Siphon, or you develop a Plop. Keep in mind you cannot Special Order -> play breaker -> Account Siphon -> clear the tags in one turn, and you don't want to lose your ProCon.

The Plop is used to clear Caprice Nisei against jinteki and HB. (Ash shouldn't be a problem) Often, EtF rezzes an adonis (going down to 0), takes 3 from it, then take 2 more credits and drops a Turing in front of it, leaving himself set for economy for the rest of the game. If you have a Plop, feel free to trash it before the tick to stop those shenanigans.

All your breakers are singletons, so you do not want them to get net-damaged. The Corroder and ZU.13 Key Master you will gladly drop down. [Match-ups featuring Ichi 1.0 don't often feature net damage, and you can always jack out] However, dropping the Garrote early will kill your tempo, as well as your Data Folding until you find Reflection. The Reflection also turns on your Underworld Contacts.

Since dropping an early Garrote will kill your tempo, its often a better idea to face-check, bounce off the sentry, and if you really need to get in, just use Inside Job.

TL;DR: Establish drip, keep the corp poor by face-checking and trashing econ, then transition into a shaper player.

Try replacing The Supplier with Career Fair. Depending on the meta, feel free to fiddle with the amount of Plascrete Carapace, Same Old Thing, Bank Job, Inside Job, Special Order and Political Operative. If Marcus Batty and SanSan City Grid are common, try a singleton Councilman.
