Leela: Centipede edition

Compromised Employee is actually Aaron Marron.

The reigns of power have shifted, and there's a new sherrif in town. With Sifr, most of the corp decks are shifting away from giant rezz'd pieces of ICE. HB:AoT gets no play, and Executive Boot Camp is usually that 50th card, that almost makes the cut.

As a result, most ice is small, or trash resistant. Our opponents just aren't interested in building walls.

So the current meta has a couple of big archetypes, and very few decks outside of this.

My favorite play is to have account siphon in hand, Marron on the table, and let the corp score an agenda. Take the counters on Marron, and bounce the ice in front of HQ. Gang Sign makes it funnier, but it's optional. Then, account siphon, and drop tags from Marron. For extra hilarity, Same old account siphon again, for a bigger swing.

Baba Yaga is funny as hell. Add in a Personal Touch, and you've got a stew going. Faerie that never trashes, and an increasable Yog? Yes Please! And Breach has one of the best credit to strength increase ratios in the game. Additionally, Hosting Breach or Faerie on Yaga make's their bad parts disappear.

Logos is a big deal in this deck. The trick is to identify what kind of deck you're playing against, and pull the tech for it early. There's a few tells you can get off of Identity.

The first type is Weyland with Casting call and Government takeover. I've never had this work for me. And Aaron is my boy, he basically blanks the Casting Call. The trick here is to get out Aaron, and possibly On the Lam. Be fearless, score that Takeover any way you can. Then, draw up to 5 (or 6 with logos). At the end of your turn, immediately Marron off your tags. This should leave you with 8 cards in hand, which should be enough to withstand whatever boom or punitive is going to come at you.

The second type is asset spam Sawmill. Jinteki, that makes you trash things off your deck. This deck has no trash recursion, so you have to be a little cautious. But still bold. Get out Net Shield early. Then, Snare! doesn't work if they don't have any credits. Account Siphon as much as you can, then Same Old Account siphon for more.

The third I've seen alot is CI7 or Hasty CI. The trick with this is as much access as possible. These decks usually don't have a ton of ice, and their hand size is dependant on credits. An account siphon in early game kills thier momentum. They don't usually have traps, so get as much Gang Sign & HQI as you can get. Drop the black file when they're at 4 agenda points.

The fourth is NBN, of any flavour. There's so much tag resistance in this deck, IP Block & Data Raven are laughable. And the NBN asset spam variations die to Scrubber. 'Nough Said.

HB:ETF is still a stickin point. But stay to your strong suit, get out a logos to capitalize on their fast advance, and build your icebreakers. You'll fall behind in early game, and lock them out of late game.

I'm not perfect with this deck, but it's won my 80% of my games. It's tech'd against the current meta, so it'll be useless in a month. But enjoy it while it lasts!
