GRNDL Venture 1.1

More traps! This is the variant I hope to play next time. The hope is to threaten the runner into keeping away from face-checking advanced cards in servers

I've been commenting on a lot of GRNDL Power Unleashed decks lately, and I'd like to offer similiar advice to you that I offer to others.

GRNDL decks just scream "I'm doing bad things and have to hide them!" to the world. It's all about big money and not caring about the consequences. As such, I really feel that trying to remove bad publicity from GRNDL is an inefficient effort. In this situation, we have 8 potential bad publicity counters, and the capability of removing 9 via a Unique asset and an Agenda. Yes, we could remove all of the bad publicity, but the game is mostly over by that point with a lot of effort spent adding and removing bad publicity. Rather than expend the effort on flipping bad publicity back and forth, I feel that GRNDL would rather start an economy race with the Runner to fuel expensive ICE.

Since you are interested in face punching the Runner, I recommend that you take a look at ncaron's GRNDL 0.4 deck or my own GRNDL Wet Works deck to see a more damage oriented GRNDL deck. I also break down where the GRNDL value is in my deck description.

At the very least, I would rebalance the ICE with a higher level of cards. GRNDL starts with 10 credits, a 5 click advantage over any Runner except for Andromeda. Take advantage of this and skip the cheap ICE that turn into minor speed bumps in Phase 2/3. In my opinion, Draco and Hadrian's Wall should be staples for any GRNDL deck.
