Alice "Express" Merchant [Identity Crisis] German Nats Side-

I was looking forward to the side-event @GermanNats24: Königin von Deutschland - Identity Crisis! Basically you build a standard legal deck and exchange your ID with any other standard legal ID. Your team of 3 people may only use each ID once and the starting decks must be of different factions. It is hilarious to build and wacky to play. Some people built really cool and/or toxic stuff (looking at you aksu)!

So you're telling me that we have the opportunity to build an Alice Merchant deck with 45 cards and 17 Inf? In crim? Count me in! (I was one of many Alice players in this event).

The basic premise of this deck is to run Archives a lot and trigger a couple of positive effects while doing so: Mill through Alice, eat their combo pieces through Heliamphora, gain Aumakua and Leech counters. If they ice up Archives too much and leave HQ weakly defended, we DoF. Playing a Blue Deck with a meaningful ID that can also install DJ Steve is the cherry on top (In Theory™).

The deck went 3-2 on the day. I think a regular breaker suite could have helped, but it is hard to say.

Game 1: awildturtok on NBN Thule. A neat idea! Think NEH with core damaging capabilities and an Oppo+Kill package. Pretty rough to play against but an early Heliamphora starts to snatch the combo pieces. Then I win to some lucky snipes.

Game 2: lukenukem on HB Issuaq. Terrified of the speed I take some pot shots at HQ and just snipe the agendas out of there. Better lucky than good, I guess.

Game 3: aksu on HB AgInfusion. OH. MY. GOD. Aksu broke my spirit. A Tyr on R&D gets rezzed and I didn't get it until a Loki gets rezzed on Archives as well. I even saw a Konjin. So toxic, sooo gooood. Well played, aksu! I died to 6 core damage when I couldn't take it anymore :)

Game 4: trucy on reg Outfit iirc? At some point I just wanted one more Aumakua counter to get into HQ, so I run R&D which is the only server I can get into, ripping three agendas on three consecutive runs. Better lucky than good, again.

Game 5: ryanbantwins on Weyland PD. You know how PD says you can put any card from archives pack to hand, not just Seamless Launch? Yeah, ryanbantwins actually read the full text. So he sees my stuff and takes it slow, icing centrals, purging here and there. And then he just Slash and Burns 3/2s and takes the SaBA back to hand with PD. Simple. Efficient. Genius!
