Hayley Brahman: Universal Breaker

Bloel 60

I took this to my first ever Store Championships at Firestorm Games in Cardiff (12 Players) where it went 2-2. I faced 3 CTM's on the day and that continues to be a tough match-up but I did manage to beat one of them. Fortunately my Blue Sun deck was successful enough to get me 5th place and a nice deck box.

The basic plan is to set up Brahman with some Personal Touches and then feed it a load of 0 cost programs. This should get you into servers for dirt cheap (it breaks the likes of Eli and Architect for 1, DNA Tracker and Fairchild 3.0 for 2 and it even breaks Pup for 1!) and put programs on the top of your stack. After that you can use Oracle May and Pro-Co to make some money for drawing then use Hayley to install the programs on your Sheherazade for both real credits and Tech Writer credits. This sounds hard to set up but it's surprisingly consistent and ultimately doesn't need all of the parts to function well. Just a Brahman and a Pro-Co will do nicely.

Cyber-Cypher, Inti and Chameleon are there to deal with the usual suite of Anti-AI ice. Inti also acts as good Brahman food and you can use Brahman to move your Cyber-Cypher around. Clot is still useful and Hayley can get it out with ease, Paricia and Misdirection double up as both decent CTM tech and Brahman food. Harbinger is the ultimate Brahman food because this deck is pretty MU hungry.

I still like a Film Critic for certain match-ups and a NACH can be really useful if you want to avoid a tag and prevent an ASI. Sac-Cons can keep your Clots and Scheherazade alive in a pinch. The Temujins are great money in general and can help make RDI digs through 5/6 pieces of Ice profitable after your Oracle May/Scheherazade money comes through.

At the Tournament I swapped the Rumor Mill and SOT for two Employee Strikes. Normally I use the RM because Brahman isn't suited to making multiple runs in a turn so turning off those defensive upgrades is a must. On the day though I made the judgement that I would see more CTM than Caprice Nisei's. I still think Rumor Mill is a better fit for the deck.

I don't think this is a competitive monster but for two months now it's been incredibly fun to play with at my weekly meetups and it held it's own in a tournament so it can't be all that bad.
