Cache & Dagger - stealth kate with a primer

pleaix 64

This is my very refined version of Stealth kate combined with Cache + aesop economy.

The breakers:

Refractor: This is just hands down the best code gate breaker in my meta atm, breaks quandry, enigma & datapike early, and with just 1 stealth credit breaks Tollbooth for a whopping 5 credits, encounter tax included.

Corroder: Don't think i can say anything that hasn't been said about this wonderful breaker already, cheap, efficient, lovely.

Dagger: Well, i can't call it cache and dagger without playing the dagger, right? Probably the worst of the 3 breakers, but i there is not enough stealth/influence to play switchblade.

The sneak:

3x cloak, 2x lockpick.. Might not sound like a lot of stealth credits, and to be honest is isn't. but 3 of them are tutorable and with the draw power of this deck you will be having them ready for when the corp starts rezzing bigger ice than you can handle w/o stealth creds.

Draw package:

This originally started as a 3x diesel and 3x Professional contacts, but i quickly found that pro con was too slow for my meta, and i really needed a levy in case the game dragged on for too long and especially vs PE, as i have no net damage protection.

So i made the change of -3 pro con, +2 quality time +1 Levy to speed things up, and have a backup for the long game. If your meta is slower than mine (IE: not 70% RP & NEH) please do consider going back to pro con, as they provide so much sustained economy along aesop, that your lategame is virtually unbeatable

Economy:

Aesop all the way. Works wonders with daily casts and especially cache, making it a 6 credit gain if you play it with kate discount, basically making it a lucky find costing 1 influence, and 1 less click. Also sure gamble, because well.. it's sure gamble.

Memory:

2x astrolabe + 2x akamatsu mem chip, because you want that astrolabe vs NEH & RP that seems to be running rampant these days, also really good vs PE, 2x akamatsu because it's free, and can be aesop'ed to get you economy rolling again. Playing multiple consoles aren't a problem either because you can just aesop the 1.st one and install the 2.nd, effectively turing the 1.st into an easy mark.

Multi access:

3x Makers eye & legwork, simply for the speed. My meta is dominated by NEH astrobiotics & RP, so getting out of the gates early is essential, also fits nice with the theme of not having to spend any money on building a bit fancy rig, but rather spending money on getting accesses. No indexing because its a nonbo (negative combo) with stealth credits.

Silverbullets:

Imp: Again for the aesop synergy, smash 2 key cards, aesop it, buy it back for 1 credit with a clone chip. Extremely important vs all kinds of asset economy as it's possible to keep them low on credits, and possibly wasting ice on money remotes keeping them in the early game as long as possible. Also very good for attacking HQ early vs scorch & biotic labor, killing their gameplan before it can get going.

Cresentus: The most recent edition to this deck, suggested by a player in my local meta for dealing with Blue sun, which has been my biggest problem, given that corroder takes a crazy 11 credits to break a curtain wall in outer position. Plays like a emergency shutdown, only its tutorable & clone chippable. Very important for keeping blue sun as poor as possible.

Plastcrete carapace: Sometimes you just can't trash all their scorches/counterstrikes and need the safety to just go for the wins off the multiaccess run events.

The dream rig:

If you ever make it to the dream rig of breaks + 5 recurring stealth credits, nothing is keeping you out. 1 run a turn, and a 5 credits discount makes for a virtually impossible to beat rig, (unless, of course, you let weyland build 3+ ice servers of expensive ice)

The allstar: Clone chip!

Things this can do: Recur imp & cresentus, for disruption

Recur SMC for the classic shaper "rig in a bottle"

Recur cache combined with aesop for a stunning 6 credit swing at the end of your opponents turn.

Make sure you never lose a breaker for good.

Lastly a few tips on playing the deck: Make sure you use Kate's ability as often as possible, and don't install without it unless you really need to.

Run fast and early. Remember to keep the corp poor as long as possible while you get your initial setup over with.

Keep in mind your lategame is probably stronger than theirs, if they aren't doing anything, take your time to dig for the missing pieces to the puzzle. Once you've got both aesop & SMC on the table you're rolling

Remember to spend those stealth credits! I see way too many players not abusing recurring credits. All runs are good if they are free. dosn't matter if you only access 1 card, if you can do it 3 turns over for 1 "real" credit a run, i will guarantee that the corp investes even more money into protecting his servers, slowing it down even more, allowing you to get to your end game fantasy rig.

I hope you will enjoy this deck as much as i am currently doing!

Comments, feedback, and meta adjustments are very welcome :)

Hey Jake! I'd try to doMimic/2 Suckers and get rid of Cloak. I've been using 2x Lockpick and 3x Ghost Runner and it's more than enough. There aren't very many Code Gates you're really worried about facechecking. Plus, Cloak just sucks (up MU). :)
