Nasty, Evil and Harmful [3-1 @ New Years Showdown]

In September of last year I played in my first ever Netrunner tournament, namely the online Worlds Showdown hosted by maninthemoon. As a brand new player, having known about the game's existence for mere weeks, I ran into enkoder in the second round playing a deck very similar to this one. In my ignorance I installed my turtle as fast as I could, realising far too late that I was up against a completely iceless deck. Needless to say, I was soon getting overwhelmed by the many assets on the table, both within and outside the periphery of my jnet window... The flatline was inevitable.

This deck performed exceptionally well in the Swiss rounds, initially going up 3-0 on the corp side of things before losing in round 7 to a single steelskin in the hands of Buachu playing Seb. All in all, my results at this event were much better than I could've anticipated beforehand (with a majority of my losses being in very close games). Shoutouts to enkoder for inadvertently inspiring me to bring this rather mean kill combo deck to my second online event even though I had barely played any games with it up until that point. Well played to all of my opponents for the weekend, this game has an amazing community and I hope to participate in more fun tournaments in the near future! 💜
