Jinteki Investments

casusev 14

A version of my Jinteki deck (seems like I change it every week). Currently it's a deck that is attempting to always have the money to rez ice & pay for traps. I usually try to get to 5-6 scored points quickly to force the runner to become reckless.

Hadrian's Wall? Don't you have problems to pay the cost to rez it?

Also Successful Demonstration seems an odd choice to me: it's a great burst economy card, but it seems hard to play with only 6 ICEs (including Hadrian) that can end the run...

So the influence in this deck changes about weekly. Honestly I can't seem to find a collection of influence that I'm happy with (other than Pop-up Window and I've come to love Beanstalk in this deck). I've considered going less than 15, but it feels wrong...

Hadrian's is a very new addition, really not sure it will stick around. Ideally it'll be a target of Priority Req, but we'll see.

As for Successful Demonstration, I've actually had pretty good luck with this card. While there's little ETR ice in this deck, I've found runners will still jack out enough to avoid a possible KO. I'm considering swapping Braintrust for Nisei MK II to assist that.

Thanks for the input!

Regarding the influence, Beanstalk and pop-ups are great in Jinteki :) I also use a couple of Cerebral Overwriter in my deck (instead of Junebugs) and they perform well for me: brain damage is strong when you try to flatline the runner ;)

After tonight's playtesting:

-1 Hadrian's Wall -1 Project Junebug -2 Priority Requisition -1 Successful Demonstration

+3 Nisei Mk II +2 Cerebral Overwriter

Will probably keep it as such for the Plugged In Tourney this weekend.
