Bypass It - Adam Sucks

A deck I made to force myself to do runs without having icebreakers of each type. I'm no good at running with a thin rig. It scares me too much. I've seen someone win with this deck, though, so it can done!

Hi there,
thanks for sharing your first steps in deckbuilding and welcome to the community.

I'm also uncomfortable to run aggressively early game as I started the game when facechecking ICE was much more brutal. I think it's a good idea of you to explore deck archetypes outside your comfort zone. If you don't want to go all-in and feel like you want a bit more safety, I'd recommend a 1-of Carmen as a backup.

Hermes is an awesome console, especially if you see it early, when it's ability is still likely to fire multiple times. It is relatively common for runners to include multiple copies of their console to a) ensure you find it early and b) have redundancy, in case random damage knocks it off your hand or the corp trashes it (because consoles tend to be a prime target for trashing effects!).

I'm not entirely sure if Joy Ride and Beatriz Friere Gonzalez are worth your influence. Corps will see your ID and know you concentrate heavily on central server accesses and ice up accordingly. I just think that Dr. Nuka Vrolyck would help you more by letting you consisase you want fetently find your stuff.

In my recent experience with Debbie "Downtown" Moreira I found I want at least 15 run events (or 1/3 of the deck) before I put her in my deck, probably more. With your deck list, her sister Juli Moreira Lee would actually benefit you more, since you dabble a lot with s and already have several other resources to spend s on.

Keep on Running :)

Thanks so much @Kramsawesome suggestions. You've made this a very inviting space for me. I'm looking forward to tinkering some more. I made a new deck with these cool suggestions. Is there a way I can simply update this deck, or do I have to change my private deck and then publish a new one each time?

Welcome to the community.

Using a runner like Mercury to try a different play pattern is a great way to mix up the game.

I think you could replace Trick Shot for Eru Ayase-Pessoa and thus gain another way to push on R&D.

If possible, The Class Act will give you a lot of draw and some filtering.

Finally, I think you need a more economy in your deck. As a rule of thumb, having a third of your deck filled with cards that provide you some form of economy will allow you to use less often the "click for a credit" action.

Keep on deckbuilding, it is (for me) half the fun of the game. Cheers!
