Kompression Kaplan

A first attempt at capitalizing on both Heyley and Comet.

  • I figured Wyldside was a natural fit since you're theoretically able to mitigate the click-loss by using either Hayley's ability or (once its out) Comet's ability. It's pricey influence-wise, though.

  • The Supplier and Personal Workshop also seemed like natural fits for Hayley as it lets her trigger her ability right at the start of your turn, theoretically allowing you to install something at a discount, then something from your hand without having used a single click. Both Personal Workshop and SMC work at Paid Ability speed, letting you theoretically trigger Hayley on the corp's turn.

  • Lots of events, including Modded, to let her trigger Comet as often as possible. Run events, I feel, are particularly strong with Comet.

  • Aesop's is probably a must when running Wyldside. I'm not sure if 1 is enough though.

  • With 1x Comet and 2x Mem Chips out, you'd sit at 7 MU which is enough to have your whole rig out and still have 1 MU left over. I'd considered trying to fit Sage in to this deck but I don't think it'll work.

  • I'd also considered Replicator as a natural fit for Hayeley but in the end, felt that there wasn't enough key hardware to support it (which is often the case against Replicator)

  • I felt like Kati was the right choice for Econ since theoretically, you'll save clicks in other places.

This looks awesome! Did you consider using Autoscripter at all? That was the first card that crossed my mind when I read Hayley Kaplan: Universal Scholar

How often is Hayley's ability going to fire? You've got 9 programs, 11 resources (3 of which are second copies of uniques) and 8 pieces of Hardware. Until you get one of your two Wyldsides, you're going to have to do a lot of digging.

I think for Hayley, you need to try and have at least 15-20 of one permanent type to give you a good chance of drawing two.

@JAK I think it'd fire pretty often and having the boosted hand-size is sort of part of the plan in keeping something back that allows an "extra play". I'd love to see any deck ideas you have that work with 15+ programs, hardware, or resources though. In the end, it might have to be at the expense of trying to also leverage Comet.

@Glitch I did consider it, but couldn't quite fit it in to this build (which is fairly program light). Using Autoscripter in conjunction with Personal Workshop really seems like it'd be amazing though.

@david_annable sadly, Autoscripter only triggers when you install from your grip. Autoscripter + Savoir Faire might be something to consider though...

@david_annable, I posted my own, more program-storm Hayley earlier today. Super untested, a ton of flex slots, but please check it out and think with me!

I see Hayley as being a pretty solid basis to an Oracle May deck; have a lot of one type of installable card, then just go through your deck putting them all down.
