Valencia Flint .2

duckage 8

This is my current version of Valencia. When O&C first released I tried the Valencia Eater build for a while but didn't really quite like the feel. I first decided to revert back to a traditional Anarch Icebreaker set up with Medium, Datasucker, and Parasite for support. I added D4v1d and Knight for large Ice support and threw Atman in there for strength 4 ICE when necessary. I've played the deck quite a few times only losing once to a Weyland Sea Source double Scorch situation.

The Jank of this deck is to get a Raymond Flint down early with both HQ interfaces and then firing off an investigative journalism and getting to look at 3 cards in HQ. I've scored multiple agendas with this combo and it feels fantastic every time it goes off.

Of course the basis of this deck is to make sure you mulligan for an Investigative Journalism and Vigil in your opening hand. This deck doesn't work without bad pub, and by some chance your opponent is running Mills you want to be able to add pad bub when you need it. Vigil is going to be card draw because at 50 cards this deck needs draw. I put in a diesel an Inject and 3 IHW to help, but IHW is your only flatline backup so you might want to save those when you draw them. I've used them for card draw because the real deal of this deck is to be able to make runs on scoring servers with Blackmail.

Here's how I play this deck, get the Flint/Investigative Journalism/HQ interface set up early as I can so I can set up multi access with Flint when the time is right. Most of the time you're going to use your breakers and medium to pressure R&D. You don't want to run remotes without Blackmail, because with 3 blackmails and 2 Same Old Things, you really want the Corp to hesitate installing agendas into a remote so they flood and you fire off the IJ and pick them out with Flint. If they do install them, run with Blackmail and pick them up.

Use Parasites to pick off low strength ICE rezzed on R&D or HQ. Clone chip the parasites, D4v1ds, and Knight. You can cause a lot of pressure all over with all the options, but you really want the corp to feel that for most of the time HQ is the only safe place and then let Flint Slap them down.

Hehe reminds me of a deck I was trying to push few data packs ago with Tallie Perrault and Raymond Flint with Imp in it , for Scorch combo protection :)

@Dydra How did that deck do? I've picked up agendas out of HQ with Flint in this deck. Having HQ interface down gives you multi-access as well, which just makes the combo sweeter. Getting the timing right on when to burn your whole turn accessing HQ is tricky.
