Hemorrhage Noise: The HQ Assassin 0.11

I was listening to Run Last Click, Episode 30, and I wanted to build something around a card that I have been waiting for since the first time it was announced as a spoiler, Stim Dealer. I am not great at Netrunner, but I've realized it's because I get sucked into Janktacular decks and have not mastered all the fundamentals. That also means that I sometimes gravitate towards decks that don't run enough or can't run enough -which is stupid.

My goals in building this deck were as follows: 1. Stim Dealer is a monster of a card -build a deck around it! 2. Run a LOT! 3. Pick one central and p0wn the $hi4 out of it...

You'll notice at this point, Stim Dealer is conspicuously absent from this deck. That is because, in my opinion, it just didn't work. What did though was making a Noise build that loves to hate on HQ. Fair warning, this deck is a bear to pilot, BUT it has every tool you need if you can use it fast enough and without killing yourself -typical Anarch day.

The main idea is to use the synergy between Hemorrhage, Hacktivist Meeting and Wanton Destruction to the great dismay of the corp's hand. You've got a standard breaker suite and can function as such, but you've got shaper BS to make it work and Djinn to add to be able to tutor any program you need anytime.

All the one-ofs may seem a bit janky, but it's really more of a swiss army deck feel. You'll always get econ, it just might not be specifically what you're looking for. SMC for a first turn opus in anarch usually means a bad day for you're opponent. Or run blind and tutor the breaker you need to get in often early.

Worst matchups so far have been fast advance decks. Probably more because I'm still not a great runner. Best are horizontal decks with undefended servers. My favorite thing against these is to drop both Hemorrhage at the same time and just start pouncing on HQ with tokens the next turn. You could run something similar with most anarchs, but with Noise you're disrupting HQ and R&D without even trying.

I've gone through 11 iterations so far and tested this a bunch, but it's still got kinks that need to be ironed out, I know. I'd like to get down to 45 cards, but there are 2 things I haven't mentioned that I love about this deck.

  1. It doesn't rely on Aesop for economy. Cache aesop is great and fairly consistent, but when you don't see an aesop your day is ruined. I hate the influence cost, I hate the dead draws and I hate the reliance on one card.

  2. It's not a static rig deck by any means and forces you to alter play to suit your opponent in most games. This has forced me to learn a lot more about the game and I think has helped improve my play in general.

All that said, I'd love some critical review if people have recommendations for piloting and what to add/remove. Thanks to @travisrchance and his Solid State Noise deck for giving me some ideas on how to start a non-aesop econ and to all the Anarch-for-life players who keep putting new concepts on the board. Now go download the OCTGN file and kill some corporate headquarters!!
