Some Men just want to Watch the World Burn

With respect Master Weyland, perhaps this is a man that you don't fully understand, either. A long time ago, I was in Burma. My friends and I were working for the local government. They were trying to buy the loyalty of tribal leaders by bribing them with precious stones. But their caravans were being raided in a forest north of Rangoon by a bandit. So, we went looking for the stones. But in six months, we never met anybody who traded with him. One day, I saw a child playing with a ruby the size of a tangerine. The bandit had been throwing them away.

So why steal them?

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

The Basics

I have reached that point where all I make is janky/bad decks. So far it is 2-0 in casual play. The idea is to trick the Corp into thinking it's a Noise getting bad draws. This could work better in Maxx but there is a chance of the surprise being revealed.

How do you plan on winning?

The idea is to wait for that moment when the Corp has their field set up. They have their drip economy, their Jackson, maybe an agenda they are trying to score, and ideally lots and lots of ICE. Then we just run from HQ to R&D with Eater. I use Eater just to make sure I don't take any surprise damage and lose Apocalypse. After the field is wiped, put down the Mediums, Faust, Aesop's and go to town. Could also Wanton HQ if they protect R&D.

The Econ

Liberated Account - Something to use for credits while stalling for time. Try to make sure they are fully liberated before the apocalypse happens.

Kati Jones - A little boost of economy when needed. Making the apocalypse happen can be expensive so this will help. Let this build up and take the credits the turn before the end.

Cache - THE Anarch economy virus that was painted blue. It loses its power without Clone Chip but will still mill a card and can fetch you up to 6 credits.

Aesop's Pawnshop - This guy will sell the cache and other cheap things you no longer need. After Armageddon, you can play another Aesop's and sell all your facedown, useless cards.

Daily Casts - Clickless credits

The End

Keep an eye on the Corp and be weary of upgrades in the Central Servers. A Crisium Grid or Caprice can ruin your day, especially if you are using just Eater. You will want to make sure you don't lose everything. Ideally in hand you will want Apocalypse, at least 1 Medium, Faust, Aesop's Pawnshop, and Grimoire or Wyldside. Get the Aesop's on the table as fast as possible so you can sell everything that's left then attack was is unprotected. Archives to get what was trashed from your ability and clearing the table, R&D with your Medium dig, HQ with Wanton Destruction. One everything has been cleared on your side and you feel the time is right, Levy and start fresh with a huge lead on the Corp.

Now go out there, have fun, and Let's put a smile on that face
