Kit is trying too hard

MPJP 2

Thanks thesm17 for the suggestions! Here's a deck I'll be trying out this week, and it's my first crack at making a deck!

If you have any comments on how I might be able to improve on this, I appreciate it!

I took a look at your previous version, and this is a good improvement. Net-Ready Eyes is an amazing card, but keep in mind that it's unique (has the diamond next to the name). So only one copy can be installed at a time. Typically the only reason to include 3 of a unique card is if you are trying to have it in your opening hand. Net-Ready Eyes is useless in an opening hand, so I would go down to at least 2.

Excellent suggestion! I will remove at least one of them and see how it goes this week.

Looking at it, the deck's over by 2 cards and I agree with decreasing NRE. It's 3 copies to Plascrete's 2 so it's probably going to come out before the Plascrete. I would suggest replacing Dyson with Cybersolutions Mem Chip instead. It costs 1 cred more but it replaces the useless link bonus with 1 MU.

Diesel does not have synergy with Professional Contacts and that's something you're going to have problems with. Dinosaurus is 1 copy so you're going to have timing problems - you're not going to have it before Yog or Chameleon. I use Personal Workshop to solve timing problems for Dinosaurus and it won't give you a tempo hit like Professional Contacts. It will also time your Plascrete with your Eyes.

In my opinion, Chameleon requires a whole set of cards to optimally use: LLDS to increase its strength further and London Library to make it cheap, and you need something to increase your hand size so you can hold 3 Chameleons without breaking a sweat and still have room for Events in your hand.

You have your Atman as a big breaker and you will probably use that at strength 6 or 10 in case you run into Weyland's premiere walls (Curtain and Hadrian) and it well also work against Archer that way. I don't see a use for Femme Fatale in that sense. Femme is nice for Data Raven, Tollbooth, Troll, and Quicksand but it loses to Atman in every other scenario.

I think you're overly redundant with the decoders as you potentially have 10 card that can act as such (3 Chameleons, 3 Cyphers, 1 Yog, and 3 SMCs). I think your deck will slow down because of economy rather than anything else. Keep in mind that a 4 or 5 cost card will usually slow you down and your only infinite source of money is Kati.

These are all suggestions and some of them may run counter to each other. I'm asking you to try and find a theme and commit to that theme. Your deck well probably slim down to 43 cards and you can slip in a Leprechaun and a Magnum Opus for your end game.

Happy running!

Thanks for the suggestions! Right now I don't have a copy of Fear and Loathing, but I agree that some 2+ memory cards would be quite useful here. And as for breakers, I'm probably trying to do too much at a time here. I'll look at getting that data pack, and then look at making this a bit slimmer. Nice, I have something to look forward to here!
