Paule's Big Rig Energy

Aesyn 1

I suck at playing runners, but I play it my way. I learned that I prefer big rigs, the feeling of always being able to get in wherever you want, and this girl gets in there believe me. If she didn't lose the game in 10 turns anyway.

I've been tweaking this list for a while, and across all the versions it sits at barely over 50% win rate, which is an amazing feat both for me and my deck, since I know better players would definitely win a lot of those games I've lost.

I would love to have other people's advice to improve the list. Obviously this list is a bit slow to be real competitive, but I wasn't planning on winning tourneys anyway.

Here's what I think about the cards.

Kit

Playing Kit because I want to be able to threaten the light servers as soon as possible. If you have a Self Modifying Code on the table, and some creds, corp needs to slow down a bit. It speeds up the deck, but you definitely feel the -5 influence hit. Maybe you can play the list with an other Shaper, but Kit still contributes to your econ through Study Guide even after you setup all your rig.

Study Guide & Paperclip & Na'Not'k

Best Decoder, Best Fracter ...and an OK Killer, since I don't have enough influence to pay Criminals a visit. However nanotech (you should have heard me when I was trying to pronounce Na'Not'K before) kinda works with Kit, because it is good against big glaciers, and lightly defended servers are dealt with Kit ability or Pelangi.

Multithreader

I was normally playing with 2 of them, but because of influence reasons I cut one, and never missed it. It acts like Rezeki #4 and #5 since you usually run at least once a turn after a while. Also it lets you pump Study Guide and use SMC for free sometimes.

Peace in Our Time & Stimhack

I needed quick cash injection, and these were the options I found, unfortunately at 1 influence cost per card. I had to let go stimhacks for influence reasons in the final version, but if it wasn't for a certain deck, Data Dealer would be dropped in favor of these. Stimhacks synergize amazingly with SMC and Study Guide, but after you setup, they lose a bit of value. If I knew better I probably would have held on to stimhacks instead of peace's.

Modded

No brainer looking at the rest of the list. Even though it nonbos with Paule's Cafe, Paule is actually the backup plan of the deck (coming to that in a bit).

Cyberdelia

A big rig needs MU, and the way I'm playing the deck, these become Rezeki #6,7 and 8, recouping their cost quickly.

Daredevil

I think shaper consoles suck, maybe apart from Aniccam which is not that good in this list. I chose Daredevil because it gives you 2 MU, and synergize with your plan to smash R&D. If they defend it lightly, it is good for you, if they not, you at least get your turbo draw. It's expensive though.

R&D Interface

My preferred way of winning. With cyberdelias, psych mike, daredevil and multithreader, running R&D will actually earn you money while getting you accesses.

But don't worry, you can easily lock the remotes at the same time too.

Data Dealer

Here because of that sportsmetal deck. But playing with it, I found lots of other decks play News Team too. And sometimes 9 creds are more valuable than a one or even two-pointers. There are other agendas which are harmful to have in score area, like Sting or Megaprix Qualifier. It's not that bad in other matchups, but I'd probably replace it with Stimhacks in an other meta.

Paule's Cafe and the Unique Connections

Finally we are at the namegiver of the deck, but Paule's is actually the backup plan of this deck. You know the times when your hand gets clogged with useless R&D interfaces and cyberdelias while you are looking for creds and breakers. You don't want to put them in the bin, but you don't want to waste your money on them before other things either. Paule helps you store those for a later time, and gives you a discount too. But you'd rather draw your deck in the right order and setup with modded.

Unique Connections in the deck mostly gives you various way of earning creds, apart from Guru. They act the replacements of each other, while making sure you'll never have a useless duplicate since you only have one of each. If you happen to draw 2 or more, using Paule's becomes a net gain.

Notes on influence

Paperclip could be a Corroder for freeing an influence point, but I just wanted the best.

Data Dealer and Guru could be cut in a different meta, but I found DD ok in a few matchups, and Guru is amazing against damage grinder decks.
