The Wizard of Card Draw [Eternal] 5th at Cos

I really wanted to play eternal at CoS for Worlds this year, and it turned out Izzy's team needed an eternal player. Unfortunately due to work, I didn't have time to participate in any of the eternal tournaments leading up, but after studying the meta and lurking in the GLC channel, I determined that it wouldn't have helped much anyway and that I should just bring something unexpected and completely unhinged.

I used Strike Whizz as a base but took out The Price and added Patchwork instead, since it gives me more control over what gets trashed and extra MU in case I want to double medium. I tried to do some more modifications like swapping ES for Hacktivist to make room for Film Critic and Aaron, but it wasn't really worth it, based on a single online game with IG.

Unlike my corp deck, Whizzard I was very familiar with, though I think a better pilot would have won at least one of the two games it lost. The other big changes I made was adding Bankhar for early game and additional CV fuel and swapping Casts for Liberated as HHN tech (which didn't even matter the one game it should have because I forgot that cards flip after Apoc).

I beat Outfit, PE, and Ob on time. The two games I lost were vs NEH after a 45 minute slog vs Prison Wu and the lesser of the broken Eternal combos that day, IG with Power Shutdown/Nanisivik, as piloted by Mr. Eternal himself, @AugustusCaeser. So not removing ES was certainly the right choice, but adding Hades Shard would have been a prophetic one.

Shout out to QTM for being the best Netrunner group and NSG for holding an awesome tournament. I didn't get my stone Ob, but there's something particularly amusing about trying to take a picture of the one I did get.
